This was the first Darjeeling I’ve ever tried and I definitely don’t regret it! This tea is very sweet tasting. It had notes of peach and honey. It’s very smooth and the flavors were fairly mellow, but not in a bad way. I’m kind of sad I didn’t order more of it before Butiki closed.

I’m rather new to the tea scene, and I don’t have nearly as much time to dedicate to my new-found love of tea as I would like. I’m currently in my second year of college studying microbiology. I’ve been a tea drinker for about three years now; however, only in recent months have I been experimenting with loose-leaf teas.
My favorites are Earl Greys and Matcha.Any kind of green tea will always hold a special place in my heart, particularly Matcha. I don’t normally add any milk, honey, sugar, etc. I prefer to appreciate the flavor of the tea on its own. I do like oolong, white, and black teas as well. Although, I usually avoid most herbal teas, I don’t dislike them (I’m especially fond of Chamomile or Mint herbals). I generally dislike teas with any overpowering flavors- especially cinnamon or most “spiced” blends, but I try to keep an open mind.
My other interests include reading, video games, anime, and hiking…in no particular order. I also follow The Walking Dead and I’m always open to new ways to procrastinate my coursework.
