This is a nice assam but not spectacular. I used 1 and 1/2 tsp for 12 oz of boiling water. I never pay any attention to teavana’s directions as they never work for me. I guess my taste is different than theirs. I like my assam strong, and while their assam is pretty, its not a hearty assam for my tastes. There is not enough maltiness for me. I do like it but its not at the top of my list.
