I was so excited to steep this one this morning and take it to work. I am a coconut fanatic, but… im afraid this one was a miss for me. it was a very thick brew and I agree with some of the tasting reviews that it did taste a little like coconut milk and coconut water, which I am ashamed to admit, but I have no liking for either. It also had somewhat of an artificial taste to it. I really liked the white tea base though. I must try this as a cold brew though, as from what I can see from previous reviews, those that did not enjoy it hot, did however enjoy it cold so I will have to try sometime this week! and will change my rating then:) But for now, the verdict is a no, for now.

Now I’m really curious to try this one, for better or for worse.

Drinking this before bed. Hopefully it helps me get to sleep for work in the morning at 6am:( at first it tastes like a normal chamomile then u get after notes of the peppermint on your tongue and Roobios in your throat. It’s definitely a soothing cup of tea and is already going to work and putting me to sleep:) beautiful color also, from the Roobios I presume. Goodnight fellow steepsters.

I have had this tea before and loved it. After reading Dexter3657s post we got to talking and us both being lovers of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I got to thinking… I added dark chocolate chips to my dry leaves! And it is absolutely yummy! Even better than the first time. Two thumbs up!

Dexter

I think it’s a fabulous idea, and am really happy to hear that it worked!!! Will have to add some chocolate next time. Great idea!!

I have been sick for the past week with tonsillitis, again…. 8th time in 2 years. I hate it. So this tea was a life saver and has been my rock. What I love about this tea is that it isn’t just peppermint. Its a mixture of so many soothing elements…its a must have if you are a peppermint tea lover or just to keep on hand when you are sick. Peppermint Herbal gets two thumbs up from this girl:)

Tonsilitis sucks!!! Feel better soon!

As someone who used to get strep and tonsillitis more than I care to admit, surgery seriously changed my life. It’s a pain in the neck and you’re out of commission for awhile, but it stopped the majority of the infections.

BrewTEAlly Sweet

thank you Scribbles! and Jeweledthumb… i have been wanting to get them removed but people keep telling me it is a painful procedure and takes forever to recover. I have a high tolerance for pain, but i am still nervous. How long was the procedure and recovery if you do not mind me asking.

jeweledthumb

To be honest, I don’t remember how long the procedure was, but I received general anesthesia. My (full) recovery was 4 weeks. I won’t lie, it was extremely painful and I could barely even drink due to the pain, BUT even with the pain, it did eventually go away (and they give you pain meds) and it sure beats getting throat infections so often! I scheduled the surgery during the summer. If you do have it, make sure you have someone take care of you for at least the week after surgery. Best of luck whatever you decide. =)

BrewTEAlly Sweet

Thank you so much!

Short Sorceress

I had my tonsils removed when I was 17 and it made a world of difference. Now I rarely even get a sore throat. Recovery time for me was about two weeks, but the older you are the longer it takes to recover. If it is something you are considering I wouldn’t put it off, the recovery time is a minor inconvenience when you think about how much better you will feel in the long run.

Thank you everyone!!!

Alright, so i’m a coconut fanatic so I was really looking forward to this tea. I tried it hot on Sunday and I have to say I was disappointed. It just tasted like a plain black tea to me. As I let it sit the coconut peeked its way through, not all the way but subtly. No sign of kiwi tho and I even added an extra piece;). So I decided to cold brew it over night and I had it for lunch this morning at work and guess what?! I found the kiwi! It tasted like a kiwi coconut water and was not so bad. I really love the idea of Handmade Teas company and concept and I can’t wait for the months to come and the different blends to come:) Overall, not a bad tea. Not one that is a must have, but it was a good experience. Thank you Handmade Tea!

Boo, this tea sounds absolutely amazing! I’m sad it didn’t taste the same.

This has been my favorite since I was little. I made my own chocolate chai cream tea:) steeped this baby in milk and added some chocolate chips and cinnamon on top:) perfection for my last day of chocolate class:) perfect for over cast rainy winter days. The creamyness the milk adds to the spicyness of the tea is a great combo and then the sweetness from the dark chocolate chips. :) heaven in a cup.

Sounds delicious!

Wordddddd, their peppermint, mint, and sweet dreams (just seeing that blue package makes me feel relaxed) teas totally bring me back to my youth around bed time.

Tried this again since I hadn’t touched it in almost 3 months. Last time I brewed it straight into the milk and I loved it! This time however I brewed it normally and I loved the aroma it gave off and the color of the tea steeped was soooo beautiful! It was a dark and rich caramel color. The taste however was not the same… You could taste the chai spices and orange peel. I added sugar and the chocolate peek a booed its way through but not enough for my liking so I thought maybe a Dollop of milk will help? Nope. Weakens the tea for my taste. Ill stick to my first review a few months ago and save this one for milk steeps for winter and autumn :) this will not keep me from trying other pu-erh blends tho!

Cold brewed this one overnight and it smelled so fruity! You can definitely taste the passionfruit. A little tart from the hibiscus but just right. It’s very nice and the soft pink color it becomes when cold brewed is lovely. Next time though i will definitely add a few lemon wedges it would definitely compliment it very well.

I had this this morning. And I have to say the loose leaf looked like it would be this wonderful creamy vanilla-y tea! The almonds, and vanilla pods, and vanilla scent. It had a really earthy smell as well. The black tea base was a good choice but I have to say, it was not what I expected. Hot and unsweetened it just tasted like a morning black tea. So I let it sit to cool a little bit and it was still bland. So I added sugar and it got a little better and brought out the almond flavor. Then I let it sit for a little longer and added milk. Aaahhhhh hahhhh! I found the vanilla. The cooler it gets the sweeter and stronger it gets! This was definitely a nice blend but I’m going to have to continue searching for the perfect vanilla tea for me:) thank you to the persimmon tree tea company though!

I was soooooo looking forward to this tea! Especially since my favorite milkshake is a chocolate banana milkshake from fosters freeze. You get the banana and chocolate flavors but I’m not sure the roobios was a good pair with the flavors. It left a super funky taste. Maybe I’ll try it once more before I toss it in the to-go box.
