Another tea included in a recent thank you gift (yay!). As per some suggestions, I rinsed it briefly (pour lukewarm water in, swirl, dump) then steeped as I saw fit (2 tsp, 2 cups water just settled from a boil, 3 minutes). I poured it over honey whipped cream in a shallow bowl-mug.

I haven’t had a Russian Caravan tea in years. The last one I had was super strong and smoky and I found it really hard to drink. This one is nice and… well, not subtle, because campfire smoke would never be subtle, but very drinkable.

tl;dr: Yum.

Lilysmom I bet anything poured over honey whipped cream would be tasty!
OMGsrsly

Possibly! Maybe not the stew I have in my fridge, though. ;) I didn’t use much honey powder at all, so it doesn’t even taste sweet. It just adds a remarkable richness that goes so well with the smoky flavour.

(I was trying to avoid waxing poetic. I’m so tired it’s unavoidable!)

I mostly drink black tea.

Also: A map of tea places in Vancouver. I’ve been to some of them, but not a lot. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
