Not bad, but needs more sage. :)

It’s not quite what I was expecting, as the black tea is front-and-centre. Following it, I get some vanilla and sweetness from the blackberry leaves, and finally some sage.

I think I’d like it better with a little honey added, as the black base is somewhat astringent. And sage tea is better with honey anyways.

I’m glad I picked this up to try, but probably won’t get any more.

Flavors: Astringent, Blackberry, Sage, Vanilla

Oh it sounds really interesting. I would have assumed a fruit herbal blend from the name of it, so being a flavoured black sounds quite different.

I haven’t tried too many teas with sage, but the few I have have been very nice.

I was expecting a lot more vanilla, but got more of the base tea. I think I’ll have to play around with it a bit to get it just right. I didn’t add milk, but I think it would be super good with a little added or even as a latte.

I actually drink sage tea (just sage and water steeped for ~10 min) because it helps if you’re very sweaty. :) I work twice a week with tropical fish, so I like to drink it in the summer. This tea didn’t taste anything like that.

Have you tried blackberry sage by Republic of Tea? I love it. :)

I’ve heard of it but haven’t seen it available locally. If I find it somewhere I’m doing an order, or maybe at a local shop, I’ll be picking it up. :)

RoT accidentally sent me tea bags instead of full leaf on my last order, if you’d like to try their tea bag version I’d be happy to send you some!

Thank you, but at this time I have enough tea. :) I’ll wait till I’m finished a few more of what I have before I seriously start looking for it!
