2291 Tasting Notes
Drank this super fast while attending a webinar this morning. My work laptop does NOT stream stuff at all, it’s so old. Even the webmail we use at work causes it to require a restart part way through the day. So I’m at home, and have taken advantage. Coffee, tea, oats, and I’m cooking pasta right now to bring to work with me.
Essentially: YUM. I love this tea. I love assams, I love the nutmeg. It’s so good with a splash of milk or cream.
Preparation
Fire. Fire in my mouth. Even opening the packet this evening induced some sneezes. And I only steeped it a couple minutes.
Yeah, there’s a lot of parsley. And then fire.
Hopefully this gets me moving a bit tonight – I have to clean my kitchen and do some laundry, and I have no interest in even sitting here in front of my computer. Where’s my bed?
Preparation
I quite enjoyed this today. With gluten free cheesecake. :)
One of the mugs I took to work with me. The other two were coffee (all gone) and Butiki’s So Long and Thanks for all the Licorice (not much gone at all).
I had a busy day.
But now I’ve had ice cream, and I have a large glass of water with lime in it, and it’s pretty much time for bed.
I’ll finish the Butiki tea as an iced treat in the morning.
Preparation
This is totally from last year, and I still like it lots. It’s incredibly sweet, with sweet candy-ish spices and practically no pumpkin flavour. Yet I’d count it as one of my favourite fall teas. Definitely a favourite over DavidsTea’s Pumpkin Chai, although they are similar.
So yeah. If you can, check this out. If not, then don’t worry about it. Especially if you’re not a fan of the pumpkin spice craze.
Preparation
It’s even sweeter than David’s? While I regret continuously passing this up each time I ordered from them, come to think of it, most of their blends are ridiculously sweet. Like your taste buds are driving down Melted Candy Lane haha.
Long day. Good tea. Even though I had to supplement with coffee, this was still really good.
My mom’s also tried it, and she’s “ordered” a tin of it from me. So at some point, I’ll have to order more and get it sent to her house! :)
Preparation
Would you know if they had a shipping offer this past Canada Day? If so, then damnit, that’s what I get for taking a break from Steepster haha.
Another one from MissB. Yes, there are LOADS more now. :)
It’s not bad. Not a favourite, but not bad. IDK, it strikes me as peachy or apricoty, with some floral. The base isn’t the best, but it’s decent. I’d like it a bit better with a tiny touch of sugar instead of just milk, I think. Just to take the edge off. It was good hot in the morning, and I finished the rest cold in an afternoon meeting.
Not bad, but not something I’d hunt out to buy.
Thanks for sharing!
Preparation
This is way better. So good, and with the nettle it has a nice bit of minerals to help me stave off my impending doom cold.
I love the medicinal fruity aspect of this tea. So delicious. And tonight, I’m even having it without honey!
Preparation
A sample from Shmiracles! Thank you. :)
Sadly, I find the Adagio lapsang blends to be almost stomach-churningly like drinking soaked campfire ash. So, uh, not for me. It was pretty smooth, but the flavour just did not work at all.
Maybe if it was 1/16 lapsang and mostly the other blends I’d like it more, but as it stands I had to dump it. :( I hate doing that with tea.
I tried it with maple syrup and milk.
Preparation
This… is odd.
A sample from MissB. And now I’ve read your review, I totally get why you dispersed it. Haha.
It’s hibiscus. And I’m getting a lot of mint. So weird. I had to add some honey, without it was terrible. And even now it’s not super great. I guess it’d be good if I were actually sick instead of just run down and possibly coming down with something, but it’s not for me at all.
(I mean, peppermint and hibiscus? What?!)
Those laptops ought to retire sometime.
you don’t have a work laptop refresh schedule?
It’s my laptop. We don’t have computers supplied for us – we use our own. I just don’t make much money and can’t really afford to buy a new one.
It also doesn’t have a working screen so I have borrowed an old departmental monitor to plug into it. Heh.
