431 Tasting Notes

Well, I just had to try this. It just sounded so unique and with the free shipping with no minimum order I decided to take the leap.

I found the rose was more noticeable than the other ingredients, which is not a bad thing. Well after the steep I get the fruit notes which definitely linger. It is light, slightly earthy. Not in a grassy vegetal way but rather a rough dirt kind of way. The earthiness is a consistent during the entire experience. The most interesting part is how well the natural floral and fruit sweetness finish off the cup. It is delightful.

I won’t rate this tonight. I feel like my taste buds weren’t working. I just wasn’t tasting the ingredients. Here is to better luck tomorrow.

Wow…now this one is good. It does have a black forest type feel to it and the almond flavor is just amazing. Thank you “Joy’s Teaspoon” for sending me this sample. I will have to get more when I run out. Love…love…love it. :-)

Yay! This is my real 300th review. I had to delete one that showed up as a duplicate. So happy!

I am having such bad luck with my first order from California Tea House. Only 2 of 5 were ok. I am so disappointed especially since they were pretty expensive teas. Perhaps I am not steeping them right but I have been following directions and this one is just not good. The cherry is nice but the Sencha tastes weird. I don’t plan on placing any more orders with them. I feel like their blends are just not for me. Not to say it won’t work for someone else. This is the first time in a long time
that I will be dumping my cup of tea down the drain. I hate to say this about any company because of course this is based only on my own personal opinions but I just have to be honest. I have had LOTS of teas way better than this.

This is my 300th Review too. Let’s hope 301 is miles better. :-)

Edit: Turns out I had to delete a duplicate note so this is not my 300th review but really 299. :-)

I’m sorry about your luck! I’ve had the misfortune of throwing tea down the drain as well :( However, congratulations on your 300th review!

I made this for my 4 year old daughter this morning since she is complaining that her tummy was bothering her and she absolutely is loving it. As I write I can hear her slurping down this tisane. Of course she loves honey so I added some to the cup and it was wonderful.

Yummy, yummy. Of all the teas I have ordered from California Tea House I have enjoyed this and Monkey Paw the best. I have one more to try still so that may change. Nevertheless, this is a delicious blend. Nutty and smooth and slightly sweet.

A solid performer, it is very similar to the Almond Biscotti that Teavana sells. Nothing really sticks out otherwise.

First, “Thank you, Marcus” for sending me this amazing delight. I just want to say that I truly feel privileged to have been able to try this amazing tea. I can’t describe my experience exactly, it is just so unique for words, but I can say it is hearty, robust, and thick. I get a bright splash of honey flavor from the start but it is mainly in the background. It fades leaving the same bold flavor from start to finish but then on the tail a slight floral note which is actually more prevalent than the honey notes. Delicious!

First, “Thank you Marcus!” for sending me this wonderful new Sencha of yours to try. I made this according to the perimeters given my Marcus and I must say it is absolutely delicious. I think “TeaEqualsBliss” hit the nail on the head. It very broth like, the liquid itself is thick. I expected it to be very vegetal in flavor but in fact it was just mildly vegetal. I can truly say it is a lot different than a lot of Senchas I have had in the past. It stands very well on it’s own. I really am enjoying it.

Wow, this is much better than the previous tea I drank. It is mildly robust. I wanted the flavor to be a little more complex where maybe I could taste various layers but I instead I got a well balanced cup. Not a bad thing, I enjoyed it.
