Backlog. Another sample from Carol!

This is the first green tea that I have tried. I am not sure if I made it right. How do you know what temperature your water is? To me this one tasted like grass mixed with a little bitterness does that mean I brewed it too hot? It did have a little side flavor that smelled good, so I would be willing to try it agin, if it was just brewed to hot.

Digital variable temp kettle :)

Is there any way to tell the temp with a regular kettle? I am not planning to buy a new kettle right now.

Some people have written up how many minutes to let it cool to get to certain temps, I’m sure it’s on the board somewhere.

I’ll have to look for it thanks!

That would only really work if you boiled the same amount of water every time as they did. A small amount cools faster than a large amount. (And to a smaller degree to do with the surface area of your water, but that’s probably fairly comparable). It’s probably okay as a guideline, though. If you have a cooking thermometer you can measure your water with that.
