I’m only just really getting into breakfast blends. This year has been illuminating in what I like and what I don’t like in terms of breakfast blend, and I was beginning to wonder why I’d been so hesitant before.
Aha. This sort of breakfast blend.
A friend gave me this as a gift a while ago, and its sat, untouched, since I unwrapped it. Bingo, perfect work style tea! I’ve shuffled it along to the office, and now am going to sip it down where I can ignore it.
This is very, very malty. It leaves my mouth feeling dry, and the flavor does not inspire me.
Ah well. A lovely gesture from my friend, and a good enough work tea!
I used to be on the quest for the perfect breakfast blend, but somewhere along the line I became more a fan of single varietal teas, mostly from yunnan. I still enjoy a good blend, but so many of them seem kind of ‘flat’ to me these days. I guess I’ve become jaded? :)
