2966 Tasting Notes
Paris. It was a long day full of some tricky bits. I rewarded myself with a beautiful spring dinner (peas and brown rice and bacon cooked a little bit in butter, and steamed asparagus with a sauce of honey and lemon juice.) and decided to follow it by a beautiful cup of tea.
Paris. One sip and I just shut down into zenness. Yum.
I, like many of us, work a couple of jobs. Today I have my normal day of work, but right now I’m in a conference call for job two, while I get ready for job one. Bleh.
Its gonna be that kind of day.
Bring on tea. I decided to brew a pot of failsafe tea. Thank goodness for Tower of London.
wow, props for multitasking… i think the closest i’ve come was successfully timing a blend that included Silver Needle, Black Dragon Pearls, Monkey Picked Oolong & Gyokuro Imperial (all different steeping times). i think it’s safe to say i hyperventilated a little.
i recently purchased Tower of London & was delighted to find, that as per a lot of reviews, it tastes like Paris ;p
First day of spring tea continues!
This blend, with its strawberries and roses and vanilla, just screams spring time for me. Light and soft and delicious. My hand automatically pulled it off the cupboard today. Perfection on this splendid day. The weather is just as perfect as it should be for the first day of spring!
Happy first day of spring, everyone! I’ve got a lot to do today, so its a quick cup to get me going.
This might never be “the one true tea” but I think I’ll normally have some around. Its perfect for a morning like today, when I have to gulp n’ go.
Onwards, to the day!
Cup of the evening.
Fencing was fun tonight, though I got bashed in the hand, and my knuckles are starting to bruise and swell up. Fun times.
And my phone battery is dying, very dramatically, and I fear my phone is not much one for this world. Drat.
Well, fortunatly, there is tea.
Tonight this is less creamy and more spicy, which is not a bad turn of events.
Determined to have as good a day as possible today. So I will start it with a good tea.
I’ve said it before, and my new batch of Champagne Rose only confirms it. This is an elegant tea. The little sugar crystals are a delight, and the rose is in no way overpowering. A really delicious tea. I’m glad its almost spring time, so I can bring it back into the cupboard!
Backlog from yesterday.
Got a whole rosebud in this pot! But still not really getting any of the advertised flavors. Still tart, as well.
I had a sample of this in the store before I bought it, but it was mixed with something else, and I suspect sweetened, which would take the tart edge off. I’ve heard that teavana did that. Well, not much impressed with that policy. Its much better to let me try the tea as it is, not as it is with additives. I can add things to it myself!
