2967 Tasting Notes
What does this taste like? Like if you melted a plum candy in hot water, a little bit.
I, er, ordered more teas then I expected too from various black friday-cyber monday sales, so, while I have reached my black friday sipdown goal, the sheer amount of tea thats coming in has given me a great desire to sip down the teas that I’ve only got a little of.
So I’m going to try to finish this today. And it is December, after all. Holiday tea is now appropriate.
With Boston and the more “autumnal” teas gone from my cupboard, its time to ease into the “winter” flavors.
Starting off with this! This is, as always, warm and spicy, with a sparkiling note of citrus in it. Yum yum. Fab. I will be very happy with this for the cold months.
This months Lupicia freebie in the newsletter. I like to brew them up the same day that I get them, if possible, as otherwise they tend to sit in my sample bowl, until I have one of my drink-all-the-samples manias.
This is nice! It smells amazingly like one of those chewy caramels, and a faint chaser of rum is in the taste. I might hunt down a bit of this in future, as I like to have a sweet noncaffinated tea on hand.
Its not official, but I always feel like the last day of November is the end of Winter. So I thought it would be appropriate to finish off this autumnal tea today.
Sob. I love you Boston, I dont want you to go. But it wont be forever! You’ll be coming back to me, and maybe even before next autumn.
Wow, we pass Black Friday and suddenly I’m sipping them down like nuts.
if it makes you feel better i had to read it like 3 times before i figured out what was wrong with it lol
This is the afternoons cup of writer juice. So close to 50k! I can do it! Whew.
This tea never really made an impression. Perhaps I didnt understand its steeping parameters, but I never could really eek out the promised flavors. Its not bad, but it leaves almost no impression. This is a sipdown, and I will only really have my tasting notes to remember that I’d tried this.
Sipdown!
Black friday. (dun dun duuuuunnnn!!!) I know bunch of you have already got your orders, and I’ve put one as well. And am pondering at least one more.
But I’m also venturing out into the world again this shopping madness day. We dont do the big shops, in my family. I’m going to our Goodwill half off sale. Thrifter for life! And then to a local craft fair, to look for presents for people.
I dont know what I did to this tea this morning, but its really working for me. Yum! Maybe I got some more orange peel in it? Its warm and wonderful, as I prepare to head out into the world.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!
To all the American Steepterites, like me, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope, that no matter how you celebrate it, its proving to be a lovely day, full of good things.
For everyone not celebrating Thanksgiving, I hope you have an excelent Thursday.
Only one tea would do to kick off this morning, and that was this pumpkin delight of a tea.
Sadly, its also a sipdown. Never fear, pumpkin creme brulee, it wont be forever!
Oh my, they let me go from job A today, which is going to make my life so much easier! I have a chance to go home, and prep for job B tonight!
And indulge in a quick pot of this lovely tea. The real mystery/wonder of this is the crispy sugar note, exactly like the top of a creme brulee. How is that possible? I swear I can taste the crunch!
Onwards!
