2967 Tasting Notes
Today has dawned bright and clear, so I feel I can hazard a more springy flavored tea.
I might actually shed a tear when this is gone. I dont know when/if I shall ever get this again, as its a Hawaiian exclusive.
It tastes like summer in a cup, light and sparkily on the tounge. Yum.
One more pot left of this.
Got a sample of this in the mail today, and rather than add it to my cupboard, I’ve decided it will be my noncaf tea of the evening.
It actually smells good, like gooey caramels. And the smell of the steeped up tea is just the same.
It sips a little flatter than that, unfortunatly, but it smells lovely. All in all, a perfectly nice red tea.
Its October! Pumpkin month. So to start it off, I am giving this blend a try.
Hmm, first thought is that it seems very simalar to Chocolate Pumpkin Pie, in which I did not detect any chocolate.
This is a nice pumpkin spice blend, it does have a pie like warmth to it. The actual squash note isnt amazingly strong, but its not too spicy. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I like this. I will have fun drinking this during the next couple of months.
Now we have arrived at a mild tea crisis. I am out of Paris. I love Paris, its a stand by tea, and I can get it easily in the sachets at any time. But I should be trying to minimize my cupboard, and I am indeed trying to do that.
So the question is this- to restock immediately, knowing that I will restock anyway, or keep the total low? I have a great many other good teas to sip on, in the absence of Paris.
Hmm. Dilemma.
So last time I got a Harney order, I added a tagalong of this blend.
I’m begining to think that a strawberries and chocolate blend is not really for me. I’ve got a couple of them now, and I’ll drink them, but I wont be getting them again, I think.
This is, like every H&S blend, smooth. And its got an underlying creaminess that is very pleasant. The strawberry isnt very fruity, if that makes any sense. It makes the chocolate a little more watery (and yes, I know I just said creamy. I am a mass of contradictions today) I’ll consume my tagalong without too many problems.
