2966 Tasting Notes
Also backlogged from yesterday.
My best friend came over in a highly emotional state, and my only social response is to offer refreshments. I set her loose on the teas, and this is what she picked.
Good choice. This is both delicious and has a wonderful calming aspect, good to sip on while discussing various problems in the world and in life.
The good ship Harney and Sons is now determined that I will like this, by sending me two samples of this.
Its fall, its rainy, I figured I’d give it a shot again.
Its a strangely exasperating experience, being able to tell that a tea is good, and also knowing that its not quite your thing. You dont want to waste it, but it will never be a staple or even a longterm visitor in your cupboard.
Well, it will be if H&S keeps sending me samples!
Happy first day of fall! Its time to start drinking a lot of fall teas! And, right on schedule, its got cold and the skys have opened up and its been pouring rain.
This is really nice. A good blend of pumpkiny spice flavors, though I cannot say that I got any of the promised chocolate. What I do get is a little taste of citrus, which is a good addition to any pumpkin mixture, in my humbe opinion. I’ll be curious to see if later in this batch I get more of the promised chocolate, as its not registering at all right now.
Yesterday was not a good day. It was a rough night, in which I had no tea, and was an awkward dork.
Very long day upcoming, and so, paired with yesterdays doldrums, I need a wonderful cup of tea.
Caramel Vanilla Assam, you are just what the doctor ordered. You are so lovely. With this in my cup, today doesnt seem so bad.
In the world of pie, I have had a lot of pumpkin pie, and comparitively little apple pie. But what apple pie I did have, tasted like this.
This is warm and cinnamony and gooey, if something can be said to be gooey flavored, and just like a good apple pie filling.
I’m glad I tried this, it was a very good tea investment. Just wait till its properly cold out, this will be magnificent when I can wear a warm sweater and the leaves are falling. Lovely!
This tea is nuts. Quite honestly nuts. There was a whole brazil nut in my sample, along with a rasin! Ok then, time to steep it up.
The nuttyness comes through just fine, though I dont get any of the raisin in it. It reminds me of a cookie with nuts in it. Actually pretty fun.
I dont know that I’ll buy this, but it was sure fun to try.
I’ve altered my orignial score of this. It was my very favorite during the early days of tea drinking, and while I no longer am so compleatly devoted to it, its still nice.
This is sweet and mellow, with a pleasant lightness. On a morning, like this one, where I do need a quick cup of tea, its exactly the right thing.
I love the Calvin and Hobbes quote: “There’s never enough time to do all the nothing you want to do.”
