drank Napa Blanc by Lupicia

I picked this up in a recent trip to San Francisco.
This smells wonderful in the tin, somewhat sweet, with the beautiful jasmine fragrance. When brewed up, it smells like white wine! And it sips a bit like a glass of wine as well. Interesting. I wouldent have thought that a wine flavor would work, but I really rather do like it. Its bright and light and a bit sparkily across the taste buds. Fun!

drank Pomegranate Black Tea by Bigelow

Lovely boyfriend dropped by my work today to bring me tea, and this is what he picked out of his cupboard.
I am not going to buy any of this for myself, but it was very interesting to sip on as I went about my business. Kinda tart, and a little bit springy. Its not a sour pomegranate, which is very nice. It hovers between sweet and tart, and the black tea isn’t too strong, which I think is important in a blend like this.
Overall, a nice surprise cup of tea, but not a repeat.

Hmmm. This is not going to be a concise or scientific tasting note. This tea puzzles me. It combines some things I really like, but I’m never really satisfied with it. However, I do keep getting cups of it, when I dodge into Peets for a cuppa. Hmm.
The only conclusion that I can come to is that this weird tea is a good occasional thing, but I’m not going to make it a habit.

There are many reasons to love this tea. Firstly, its very good. The cinnamon is just the right amount, and its smooth and warm and gives you that Christmas-time feeling.
Then there is the box, which has a pensive lemur on it. I really wish more boxes had pensive lemurs on them, now that I think about it.
Its only available around the holidays, so that means I’m just about out of this, but I’ll be getting some more when it rolls around again!
I hope they keep the pensive lemur packaging.

A pot of this and a bowl of raspberries and cream this morning. Delicious. Highly recommended way to start off your morning.

I think this is what I’ve got. I got it loose from a local tea shop, though, so its hard to say.
Oooh, this smells wonderful. Vanilla heaven! Its a lovely sent both dry and also steeped up. I love to hold it and just sip at it.
I must say that the wonderful vanilla smell doesnt translate directly into the taste, but this is still a cup of comfort, when I need my vanilla fix.

The Chocolate tea quest continues. Per some very good suggestions, I double bagged this, to make it richer.
It certainly smells lovely, but I’m getting a lot of roobious and less chocolate and mint then I would really like. Perhaps a stronger steeping time? Hmmm. The quest for the perfect chocolate tea continues!

I am trying to find an Earl Grey that works for me. I never can quite figure why I cant find one that suits me, as the components are things I like in other tea blends. Hmm.
So I gave this white base a try and….. Its fine, drinkable. And the white makes it lighter, but I cant escape a bitterness in it, thats not my favorite thing. Hmm. I will keep trying. Anyone have an Earl Grey that is wonderful?

Good luck! I know if you search the forums you’ll find a few discussions dedicated just to the search for the perfect EG. :D (I’m not on that particular quest, or I’d offer specific suggestions!)

Backlogged.
I keep trying. Something about Earl Greys just never quite jives with me, so I decided to take this white tea version for a spin. It is light and bright and very complex, but it still does not stir my soul into any serious joy. Hmm. While this is advertised as a Winter White tea, I find that the lightness of it makes it a good summer tea, even if its not my favorite.

Its chocolate tea day here, apparently!
Now, red velvet is not my favorite way to get my chocolate in, but I do like it, so when this tea lept into my basket at the store, well I decided it could just come along home with me.
You really do get the rooibos out of this, but it does blend with its beet-y chocolate flavor. So, good on the blending, Republic of Tea.
Its not as rich as some other chocolate teas (probably due to rooibos and not black bases), but I’ll happily drink my can up.

I double up—two bags to the cup—and it’s a little richer.

Rosehips

Oooh, thank you. I’ll give that a try next.

I love tea! I confess that I was a hot chocolate lover for most of my life, but recently a switch has gone off in my brain, and suggested that I might just love tea. And I do!
I’m a bit of a novice, but an enthusiastic one, and am happily sipping new varieties all the time.
I love vanilla, fruity, and caramel flavors, and cant wait to try more.
