1/24 for my tea advent calendar. Unfortunately we started December off with this really awful tea. It had a deep purple colour and the odd tastes of cinnamon and pineapple. Nothing says christmas like beet root, am I right? Anyways did not like this tea.

Holy crap, I went into David’s looking for a new green tea and this was recommended. Super expensive, but so so delicious. It’s really everything I’ve ever wanted in a green tea. It’s earthy, sweet, I do pick up the buttery notes, and not in your face with bitterness. It’s completely relaxing and makes me wish I had something to pair it with. I do not regret buying my tiny 30g bag but I don’t think I’ll go higher and it’s definitely going to stay as a treat when I really need a pick me up.

I was really hesitant to try this one, I decided to drink it iced and concentrate the hell out of my little sample of this tea. Very mango-y(?) but a nice strong aftertaste of black tea. As a black tea lover I personally wouldn’t buy this to fill my black tea spot, but it does make a nice fruity iced tea. Pomegranate thankfully wasn’t the main flavour in this one.

Wait.. This wasn’t a capri sun? I loved this tea so much. I made this in my ice tea pitcher but steeped it for 30 minutes. No sweetener needed, this tea was so fruity and flavourful. Loved it to the very end.

drank Cotton Candy by DAVIDsTEA

Drank it iced, very sugary but seems to have to steep for a long while before any other flavours come in to play. What I do taste is no surprise, a very familiar fake cotton candy taste like a cotton candy flavoured rock candy. Props to David’s tea for not making it a very fake looking pink colour but instead a brown, although it’s kind of weird telling people it’s cotton candy tea.

I bought a pitcher pack of this tea so I could get the 5 for 20$ thing. First of all I had to leave the steeper in the pitcher overnight for it to not taste like water with faint orange taste. Not a favourite of mine even when it has more taste, it reminded me of a childhood snack (which snack I can’t remember) that I didn’t like. I think overall I’m not a fan of citrus teas. The spearmint did add an interesting twist though!

Reminds me of the type of tea they serve at sushi restaurants.Still very good, just a little generic. Very toasty, warm and familiar.

May I suggest TenRen’s version of this tea. It is less generic, more toasty without becoming nauseating.

drank Honey Bee by DAVIDsTEA

I went into David’s and decided to get this iced, I later purchased 50g of this delicious tea. Today I had it hot for the first time and omg it was good. I put a little agave in it because that’s what I did when I got it iced and it almost tasted like a fruity, sweet juice. I could definitely taste the honey, rooibos and lemon. So good!

drank Just Peachy by DAVIDsTEA

I got this as a sample with my David’s tea package. Since I didn’t have enough to make a pitcher of ice tea with it, I decided to drink it the old fashioned way, hot. It had a lovely fuzzy peach smell that instantly made you think of candy but the taste was a little disappointing. Very dull peach taste but super sweet, I think it would be better as an ice tea. Drank the whole cup though because it wasn’t all that bad. I just need to go fill my 20 cavities first.

Flavors: Peach, Sugar

Boiling
