115 Tasting Notes
Better than Twinings “Irish Breakfast”, which uses lower grade Assam tea. This Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe grade is quite delicious. The golden tips added nice flavor, and the aroma of the dry tea was very pleasant. It wasn’t until I sipped some, that I realized how great of an Assam this was. This is one of the more memorable Assams I have tried. I definitely recommend this tea as a MUST try!
This is the second tea I ever tasted from Twinings. It seems like so long ago, and always brings back great memories whenever I drink some. It is not quite an Earl Grey, and has wonderful lemon and citrus notes. This is NOT a malty tea, nor is it brisk; it is very light, and should be enjoyed from noon until night.
As soon as I saw the cornflower petals in the ingredients, I thought of Twinings “Lady Grey”, and was very excited. When I opened the tin, the fresh bergamot, and other elements ensured a tasty liquor. This is definitely one of the memorable Earl Greys which I have tasted.
I was quite surprised with this one. I received this tea as a gift (not for a birthday, or other special occasion, but because my family knows my deep appreciation for tea). I usually do not like Lipton, and try to stay away from it. As for this tea, I had to try it, and was astonished by its malty flavor. However, this tea contained MANY stems on a stem-to-leaf ratio. This is not close to the best tea I have had, but if I am offered Lipton again, this is the tea I will choose (as it is better than their other teas).
