So folks… it’s an oolong. Yeah, that’s right. Stacy was kind enough to include this as a sample for me with my last order even though she knows I am not a fan of the green oolongs (I asked, so she complied!). I haven’t yet gone through any re-steepings of this but holy this is actually kind of tasty. I’m brewing this western style to make life easier for me. I can’t even begin to describe what i’m tasting. There are no floral notes..it’s sweet…and not vegetal at all.
I have to say stacy…this one’s kinda good (for an oolong grin) Looking forward to a few re-steeps on this one. I’d probably even go so far as to say id keep this around in my cupboard for my friends who enjoy a good oolong, because i would drink it from time to time :)

It doesn’t have that weird oolongy taste that makes me not happy. I need to figure out what it is. Blech. Doesn’t smell like it either. Maybe when you come over kittenna you can identify it and why/which oolongs have it haha
oh my Sil likes an Oolong?? I wish I knew what it is specifically that you dislike in them lol
IB – we can figure that out when you guys come over. I’m sure i have some in my house i don’t like lol. there’s a specific taste/smell that the ones i don’t like have that just makes my face curl. dark oolongs don’t have it..and this is the first greeny oolong that doesn’t have it.

Yeah….. I dunno. Oolongs don’t taste floral to me like say rose, jasmine….that sort of thing. I’m hoping the girls can help me figure it out since I know I have some oolong in the house I can make them drink and say THiS! This smell and taste! Lol
