9065 Tasting Notes
today has been a gloriously productive day at work, productive playing with the dog AND productive with tea drinking. this was another that i pulled out today to have. I still hold that while this is a lovely tea, it’s much more caramel cheescake than frank’s version. doesn’t make it a bad tea, just a different tea. but i’m ok with that :)
it’s like this tea is cursed in my house. Every time i drink it, i either over steep it or i drink it so quickly i don’tt really pay attention to it. I’m guessing that means it sits somewhere in the middle of the road for me haha. either way, a decent bold cup with a strong brassy note this morning because the rental dog made me over steep this one.
gosh damn i love this tea. It hit all the right notes today since i managed to not only remember to brew it for longer, but also cooled the temp down a bunch. AMAZING how good tea can be when you don’t mess up the parameters lol. Glad to have tried this one, though not necessarily a repurchase for me since it’s a little fussier than others that i love just as much. today this was more like an 85 haha
tea from today – i’ve been slacktacular at steepster lately – still drinking tea but no time to really log things or read the boards… i managed to get down to 117 this past weekend, but with tea from friends, i’m sure i’ll be back up to 150ish once i get a chance to log them all :) Not really complaining though since sharing is caring, what goes around comes around…uh you get the drift (and they’ll get the tea!). haha i know many people hate this one but i always enjoyed it…getting down to the last of it that was gifted to me by keychange and variatea…yay for herbals and awesome tea friends though :)
Pulled this one out today because i haven’t had it in a while. For whatever reason, i’m not worried about the flavour changing on this tea. Turns out i was right on that note, this is the same as it was when i first had it. I love this one – especially with a little sugar and milk. It turns it in to a delicious cup of yum.
