8255 Tasting Notes
dexter is awesome and portioned out a little of this one from her stash for me to have again. I have the 2014 version but it’s got nothing on the 2013 version. Sadly i missed my chance to pick up more of the 2013 version :(
Alongside this one, i’m also drinking a tea of the same name from dexter’s tea pusher. Both have that deliciously chocolatey taste…i think i like dexter’s tea pusher just slightly but both are different enough that i could drink both all day….every day lol. so good. i just hope 2015 version from YS will be more like 2013. :(
thank you so much dexter!
last cup of the evening…. still enjoying this and happy i still have a few herbals in my cupboard. i’m in danger of having to place an order before i get to my sipdown hiatus goal if this keeps up though, since i don’t have a lot of herbals. I think i have 50g free from david’s so that might be what i aim for when i go this weekend – key lime is a herbal if i remember right? All in alll still enjoy this hot and cold, though it needs just a tiny bit of sweetner.
Final Count: 159 after adding in my streetshop88 order and cleaning up my cupboard. still about 30+ inbound though…
Another from stacy – only something like 5? more new ones to try and get to soon, rather than later. This is maple and almond goodness. I don’t quite get the waffle, but i am a fan of how the sweetness of the maple and the almond work together in this blend. I don’t even mind that it’s an oolong :) On the whole, another win from stacy and one that i’m happy that i picked up!
So I am not generally a white/green/oolong tea fan. Whites in particular tend to taste like sweet water to me. I opted to brew this one western brew for about 3 mins. The taste here reminds me a little of wild monk from mandala but not quite. there’s a sweetness here that is really tasty and something that could almost be smoke..but that isn’t. I am a fan! I might even consider picking more of this up in the future…which says a lot for a white tea :)
*dexter*sent this one my way and i wanted to try it against the one from Han Xiang just for fun. Where the han xian one is cocoa, and sweet and malty and delicious…this one is slightly malty, less cocoay but the after taste is really nice. A little hint of astringency but that just adds to the tea rather than detracting from it. I think i refer the han xian one just a bit more though…as it’s tastes call out to me a little more! stlll a tasty cup though.
