8569 Tasting Notes
Another from anlina and one that i’ve had before but it hasn’t been in my cupboard for a while now, as verdant hasn’t restocked it in a bit or i totally missed it. I still love this one, though it’s evolved over the years and nothing can compare to that first time i had it from Terri. The puerh has changed and i think the balance is a little off. All that being said, it’s still one of my favs from verdant and i love revisiting it any chance i get! thanks anlina! I’ll be resteeping this one a bit this afternoon!
Another from *Anlina that i tried yesterday and will likely pick up again today just to finish it off. This was an interesting one – different than a lot of the puerhs i’ve had from verdant and interesting in it’s tastes. woody a little..with a taste that is almost spice like… I’ll see how other steeps go today.
Final Count: 121
Another from Anlina that i tried yesterday. Funnily enough, i much prefer their secret garden tea to this one, even though the two seem like they should be similar. This one, while berry and vanilla like – has a bitterness to it and the tastes don’t blend together nearly as well as the other offering Anlina sent me to try. Given the choice, i’d go for the other tea :) Good to try though because this would have been one i’d have picked up to try!
I tried this one yesterday, mostly to decide whether or not i should send this off to a tea friend who would prefer it. I’m still torn and it’ll take a few cups to really decide BUT if there are folks out there who ADORE this, they should speak up, as i may be willing to send it out. This is a really strong tea from stacy. if you can manage to steep it for about a minute it’s not too much…1.5 and it gets close to needing milk and sugar lol
As some of you might know, jin jun mei’s fall in to 2 categories for me – yes and no. lol They’re very hit and miss for me, but i continue to try various ones to see if there is a perfect one for me. This one, from Anlina falls on the “yes” side. this was a nice cup of tea yesterday – smooth and slightly smoky with a little sweetness on the side, sort of like sweet potatoes. All in all, a nice cup! thanks so much Anlina!
