8261 Tasting Notes
second really quick matcha latte…..this is maple syrup flavouring to me. It’s not maple syrup in it’s pure form. I took a quick taste from the syrup we have here after drinking this to confirm. it IS damn tasty though, and i can see adding this to other matcha for a delicious maple taste.
Final Count: 138 (which means, dear readers that EVEN with the 13 teas i’m picking up in Florida…i’m only at 151. Not that it counts since they’re not here and my official feb month end is 138…it’s still awesome to know that what will arrive, won’t put me crazily behind in my sipdown goals for March….well at least until the BBB Box arrives lol)
worse tasting note ever…but that’s what happens when your other half says casually.. uh there’s a bunch of milk to finish off before we leave… want a BIG glass?
uh….. i can make two really quick matcha lattes i guess…
flavour one – this one distinctive… this is for sure NOT orange and is most assuredly mandarin. Adding it to milk though, makes me want orange to get an orange creamsicle flavour. I can’t remember if i’ve had orange though… anyway. on the whole this is pretty good but not likely a reorder…but if you’re looking for mandarin…this is it!
WOW! another tea from Ysaurella this is marzipan in liquid form! Funnily enough i’m not a HUGE fan of it in solid form but this is a really tasting almond paste tea :) I am really enjoying the black base that comes through and blends really nicely with the almond taste. This is sweet without being cloyingly so. Probably not something i would have picked up on my own, but now that i’ve had it, i would consider it from time to time. :) merci madam!
Ysaurella sent this to me in our swap and it was the perfect tea this morning to help me focus on the last of my work that i need to get done before i can run around the house like a crazy person trying to get ready. I’m trying to get in at least 3 sipdowns before i go lol just so i can end this month at 140. A nice round number :) It’s also a good way for me to make sure i’m drinking and relaxing a little.
This is a pretty tasty tea and i can see why it reminds ysaurella a little of the du loup (i miss that tea!) There is caramel and vanilla here, though the caramel mostly comes through as sweetness. I’d be interested in picking this up again if i ever get the chance to go shopping in france grin
i love this tea. And yet..it is getting close to being one of the oldest teas in my cupboard and so i need to stop hoarding it and drink it, love it, enjoy it. But i will be terribly sad when it’s gone. There is something comforting about the smell of this one in both dry and liquid form. It’s just totally yum. But i still have enough for a bunch of Sil sized cups…so i won’t cry…..yet.
