8954 Tasting Notes
hmmm….still considering this one. Opening the bag, this is ALCOHOL haha. Not that i expected anything less, but it was fairly strong :) The teabase for this one is a smooth, slightly malty tea. However, that’s mostly what i’m getting. There are hints of other flavours, but i’m wondering if i just didn’t shake the package up enough (hard to do when it’s stuffed full!) Now that a bit of tea has been removed, i’ll try again and reserve my rating for then. Still a nice tea to drink this morning.
Really? No tasting notes…. eep. Well here goes nothing. First off…OMG when you open the bag this is like a wack in the face of “cola.” It’s like sticking your head inside a bag of coke bottles…the gummy candy variety. Not a lot of ginger in the dry aroma but man…smells amazing!
Brewed up this is a great cola! I didn’t add any sweetner to this one for my first round with it. Warm, it’s like drinking gummy coke bottles. As it cools, the ginger comes out to play a little more, changing the blend a little while still being delicious. Yep. I’m a fan!
Exciting! So for the first time this year i don’t have my pumpkin ginger tea from travelling tea. My tea sister and i have been working hard to simplify and drink up our cupboards so we haven’t been sending boxes back and forth. So when Anne sent this one my way, i was super excited. I want to try this steeped in milk before my final verdict since that’s typically how i drink chai. Steeped in water, it’s got a pleasant base tea and i can actually taste the pumpkin. What i like about the spices in this one is that it’s not all cinnamon and cloves, which tends to feature predominantly in a lot of chai’s. Thanks Anne!
Starting the morning out with a couple straight teas before i switch off to puerh and flavoured sampllings today. This is a sipdown, which is good because i just added a bunch of teas too my cupboard. Today i’m getting plum? notes in this cup which is nice, but it’s not enough for me to bump the rating up. I’ve been slightly disappointed with these lots from TTC…hopefully they’ll be better the next time i order and we’ll get back some of those deliciously intense honey black flavours.
Starting the morning out with this one – very nearly finished with this one….though i have a hoard of puerh to get through after it. Mandala tends to be me go to, not because my other puerh is not as delicious, but i know exactly what i’m getting with Mandala and happen to love it. :) It’ll be nice to enjoy multiple steeps of this one while i work from home today.
