I tried this one because a number of folks had extolled the amazingness of this one. I hadn’t had a chance to place an order so i was glad to see it in the box to try. Thanks for sharing with us LP! I have to say, i love the shou in this one, and the addition of the “rum” aka aging in the barrels is a fun experiment. slightly sweet….earthy…creamy. interesting experiment!
GCTTB Confused as i was pretty sure i’ve had this before but cna’t seem to find my tea log. I pulled this one out because i wanted to see if it was as i remembered it since it’s been a super long time since i’ve had it. It was delicious and exactly what i needed yesterday.

this harvest is back to what i want this tea to be…coaco, malty, smooth and delicious.
this was a fun one to try. It’s more like the memory of oatmeal raisin cookie for me, with a little more cinnamon than i need. When i make oatmeal raisin (chocolate chip) cookies the cinnamon is much subtler. However, there’s an element of “baked good” that i think has been captured quite nicely. not a keeper for me, but an enjoyable cup to try.
GCTTB Going to be a few of these today if i can have quick breaks while working.
This was sort of middle of the road for me. Not a bad tea, decent cup of slightly honeyed brew…but nothing out of this world. it was smooth and enjoyable, but not a tea i must have in my cupboard. Happy to drink it again if it comes around though :)
I pulled this one from the box to try out, since i’d like to get through some of the samples quickly so VariaTEA can come pick up the box whenever. I wasn’t sure what to expect since i didn’t bother looking anything up prior to drinking it. This is rather pleasant…feels like maple..and then sort of turns in to a lovely mild black tea. Ineresting tea nonetheless. glad i got to try it.
