i was so excited for this one from variaTEA but sadly, NOT ENOUGH GINGER! this is a nice cup, but i keep hoping for more ginger from it. I might pick this one up again in future but i’d likely be more inclined to choose a lupicia ginger blend instead.

VariaTEA sent this one my way and since the instructions on the package suggested gonfu, i decided to try it that way instead of my typical western brew. Not sure what they were hoping for here but all i ended up with, what a sort of watery tea that never really turned in to anything that i would say was what i’d want in a gold tip tea. There were echoes of what this might taste like, but nothing spectacular or really worth fussing about. Oh well, can’t win them all!

boring. another teabag from variaTEA no spicey note to be found..no peppery taste. just a kinda of weird fruity like black. meh

another tea bag from variaTEA this one is pretty delicious. Hojicha genmaicha really..a little soften for the hojicha but over all a delicious cup!

sample from variaTEA apparently I’ve had this one before and felt similarly about it. It’s a little astringent but not super strong or bitter. a decent enough cup of tea but nothing i need to keep in my cupboard. thanks variatea!

Tea from my wishlist thanks to the lovely nicole this was another from yesterday and sadly another one that i gulped down super quickly. I’ve got a bit more to drink, so a proper note will come, but judging by how quickly i drank it up – this is a tasty one!

i had this one with breakfast yesterday from the lovely variaTEA and while i don’t remember much, it was a tasty cup that was over before i realised it :)

did not get through enough sipdowns yesterday so today will be fun. I did get some gaming in though, and THAT is something i’ve missed, so i’m happy things are getting back to normal after the wedding :) Still enjoying this one, which is good because i have 100g to get through now lol

i figured i should knock two of the capilano teas off my list tonight since they’re herbals so i drank this one as well. it’s pretty much a typical herbal “berry” tea. Not overly hibiscus for those who care about that, and the lemon grass softens the berry-ness a little as well. Not too shabby, though i don’t know if i need this one in my cupboard again since i like my berry herbals to have distinct flavours instead of just “berry” :) thanks variaTEA!
