15061 Tasting Notes
backlog from last night. I’m pretty impressed with myself – I received one of my black Friday orders yesterday and STILL managed to end the day with only 2 more teas in my cupboard even though the order was significantly more than a single tea. I need to finish up a few more teas before the weekend though, since i know i’ll be getting at least a couple more teas next week from my tea mule. She’s moving so no more tea mule orders until she finds a new place. That particular order has my super secret surprise for my tea sister though, so i’m anxious to get it, even though i’m not looking forward to my cupboard going up again. I REALLY want to keep hitting my goals :)
Still enjoying this tea, but it’s for sure more of a summer tea for me. I must prefer the tangy lime taste in summer/spring.
Final Count: 83
another one from my swedish chef. This one is really quite tasty. i can’t really say if it’s eggnog-y like since i haven’t had eggnog in a really long time because it’s gross. blech. but this tea? it’s creamy and delicious! I’ve never heard of this company before, and this particular tea isn’t on their website. However, they’re from my old stomping ground and that makes me happy. I really enjoyed this one! thank you for sharing these treats my swedish chef! :)
i picked this one up as a sample in my Yezi tea order because since i’ve last had it, i’ve had other Jin Jun mei’s that i really love and some that i didn’t like. I wanted to see whether my tastes has changed in the past year or so as far as this particular tea was concerned. turns out, not much has changed on this front – if anything i’m still not a huge fan of this version of jin jun mei..i’ll leave this one for my tea sister terri haha
oh my dear swedish chef! this is a delight.! so close to grapefruit dragonwell from stacy, but slightly different. Besides the obviously different bases, this one borders on being just a slightly bit sweeter and artificial but not in a bad way. overall, this could be a substitute if i ever get a grapefruit hankering again…now that stacy is poofing on us :(
mmmm thanks for sending this one my way dinosara I have been enjoying this all mid-afternoon ish. Working from = get to try and have one of my puerhs! yaaay! this is a smooth one…with a woody sort of quality. Like being up north, standing in the woodshed. there’s a nutty quality to this one as well. i’ve quite enjoyed this today.
Another tea from my dearest swedish chef – i was doing well with sipdowns but my yezi tea order just showed up, so back up my count goes lol. This was on my wishlist after a review from missB, so i’m glad to get to try it! this is creamy…the cardamom does come through. now sencha isn’t my most favourite of teas, so it’s a plus that this one is so enjoyable for me. Thanks fjellrev!
