I probably wouldn’t care about this if I hadn’t been drinking it since I was a child, but I have, and so I do. The box makes me feel cosy, and the smell reminds me of happier times.

Very nice, but then, it’s pretty hard to wreck peppermint tea unless you add, I don’t know, dirt or nail clippings or something. Well done, Twinings! – a modest task accomplished well, and congratulations on not lacing it with hibiscus.

This tastes alright in and of itself, but as with most teas if you expect to taste what the box implies you will taste, then you will experience disappointment such as would make a grown woman cry. It smells nice, though.

This tastes like it has been put together by someone who has never actually tasted lemon or ginger. It manages to be too weak and too gingery at the same time. Also, my cat burned her face on the steam but that was her own fault, really.

Twinings are sneaking cheapskates and use shovelfuls of hibiscus wherever possible. This tea is no deviation from the tradition. It was completely unpalateable, so I tore open the bags and put the contents into the toilet, hoping to make it smell nice. This didn’t work, so I poured some boiling water in as well. Then it smelt weird. I shan’t be purchasing again!

Boiling 4 min, 15 sec

I have always thought that almost all tea is nasty and gives one un-fetching brown teeth. However, I recently realised that this is not true of peppermint tea. Or chamomile, but chamomile tastes of fresh air so I don’t bother with it.
