I’ve had this tea before, and I know I like it—I just keep oversteeping it. Silly work, distracting me from my tea. :P

Resteep. Yummy! The open leaves are gorgeous, too: most are unbroken, and they’re a lovely lush green.

I think I had some brewing issues. I’ll wait till I get it right to rate this one.

Quite a subtle tea. I like it, but I’ve had a Jungpana darjeeling that I liked a lot better. Too bad I can’t find it anymore! :( Must try more darjeelings.

This is another tea that a co-worker brought back from China. (I had no idea you could get bagged pu-ehr.) This is also my first experience with pu-ehr. The bagged tea smells a bit smoky, and it brews to a very dark liquor. I don’t like it at all, but the tea probably isn’t the best quality. Also, I hear pu-ehr can be an acquired taste. I won’t be having this one again, but I’ll definitely give pu-ehr another shot sometime.

Yuck. I don’t know what I did wrong, but this tea tastes dreadful today. :P

I stuck a bag of this and a bag of H&G’s green tea in a cup together, and it was fairly tasty. Not quite a Moroccan mint, but flavourful.

An okay bagged green tea—a bit vegetal in taste.

Bio

I’ve been in love with tea since I discovered the awesomeness of loose-leaf tea about four years ago.

In general, I prefer black, green, oolong, and matcha teas. I’m not a big fan of flavoured teas, but every so often I come across one I like. I also like peppermint, but that’s about it for tisanes.

I recently tried matcha for the first time, and it’s seriously growing on me.

My favourite tea accessory is my chasen holder, hence my profile pic, and my favourite teaware is the shudei kyusu I got from Den’s Tea for 99 cents. I use it both for cooling water and steeping tea. Probably the best 99 cents I’ve spent. :)
