drank Toasted Walnut by DAVIDsTEA

One of my best friends told me this is her favourite tea, so I was very glad to receive a sample of Toasted Walnut from Tea In Spoons. She told me I would love this tea because it is nutty and sweet, and she is absolutely correct.

The mellow green tea was a good base in my opinion because it allows the others flavours to show through. The green tea is not bitter or astringent at all, it is actually fairly subdued. The walnut flavour is excellent. The milky vanilla taste makes it seem like a latte even without adding milk. The nuts add a lot of toasted sweet flavours, almost like the pan roasted nuts put on top of almond roca.

I tried this tea straight and it was fantastic, but I wanted something richer so I added half a teaspoon of agave and a touch of milk. It was basically a dessert with all the vanilla and warm flavours.

I highly recommend this tea to anyone who likes vanilla/dessert teas or nut flavoured blends.

Bio

I am a biochem major hoping for a career in research genetics and evolutionary biology. I love science fiction and spend too much of my time reading comic books. I’m a passionate keeper of spiders, cacti, and exotic plants. I eat a vegan, plant-based diet for moral and environmental reasons (I mention this only because it is relevant to which flavoured teas I drink).

I drink mostly flavoured and low caffeine teas/tisanes, but I will try anything twice. As far as pure teas go, I gravitate towards whites, yellows, and jade oolongs. I’m always open for trades and sample sales/exchanges. Message me any time :)

My cupboard is mostly up to date. For a more comprehensive list, see my stash spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-HjWKR3um-xEnj6HC9vMvKXOAyj_bpW5u_2ixEC20-k/edit?usp=sharing
