I’ve been trying to swap out a lot of my teas including this one. This was the tea that got me into loose leaf tea. I loved it so much when I had a sample in store that I immediately bought a 100g tin. Unfortunately, after a few more cups and trying a lot more of David’s blends, this tea lost its lustre.

I was packaging this up last night to include in a swap and it just smelled so good that I had to steal a cup. It was as good as the first day I tried it, but I know that feeling won’t last long so I will refrain from restocking, at least for a while. Sometimes you just need a good, sometimes long, break from some old favourites.

I’m glad you got a bit of a lovin’ feelin’ back for this guy. I’ll take your advice though and limit it to small doses!

This was my favourite of David’s winter teas. I really wanted to order the 250g bag online, but I refuse to order David’s online unless I can spend the $50 to get the free shipping and I didn’t see anything else that I wanted. This is a lot like read my lips, but without the chocolate, so it is not nearly as sweet. It’s just creamy minty goodness.

I purchased a sample size of this tea as I was unsure if I would like it. I am not the biggest fan of herbals but am always on the lookout for a good one that I can enjoy in the evenings. This was really good. I love blueberry and this tasted like a tart wild blueberry. I would definitely order this again if I make another Teavivre order.

This tea is pretty tasty, tastes wonderful iced too. :)

I am on a diet that only allows me to have one caffeinated drink per day, so I ordered a bunch of decaf teas from H&S. I bought this so I could mix it with their roasted buckwheat tea to make a makeshift decaf genmaicha. It’s not bad at all! You can definitely taste the wheat in this, but it still has that toasty, seaweed flavour. This will definitely work as a good decaf substitute for the regular version.

Mmmmm, this smells so good in the bag. VERY sweet. It also tastes very sweet and makes me worry there might be some form of sugar hiding in there because I’m on a diet and don’t want to have sugar. Luckily I only got a sample of this and won’t be able to drink it anymore. I liked this better than DAVID’s milk oolong, but only because it is sweeter. I fyou don’t like sweet teas, I would stay away from this one.

TeaVivre

This Flavored Jin Xuan Oolong Tea is produced by adding edible flavoring to accentuate the milk flavor.

I think this is one of the worst teas I’ve had. But I know that it is because of me and not the tea because I have sent this off to other people and they have enjoyed it. I realized I don’t like honeybush, at all, and I don’t like Frank’s cinnamon flavour, though everyone else seems to love it. So I won’t rate this tea because I don’t think it deserves the low rating I would give it.

I love banana teas and was so excited for this because of how good the reviews are, but I know those reviews are from previous batches of this tea and I was running the risk of it not tasting the same as those batches everyone raved about. I was right, this tea fell completely flat. There is no flavour at all. I get just a slight hint of banana and maybe nut, but it’s hard to tell. I like my banana to slap me in the face. Trying to swap out this one.

that sucks. I’ve pretty much given up on frank…. his reblends for the past few months have been subpar. So why get overly attached to a tea i can’t have again since the reblends haven’t been consistent.

I totally agree. The first order I made last august, I got three teas and loved everyone of them and still do (blueberry cream cheese Danish, banana pudding and cotton candy white, YUM). But every order I’ve made since then, I’ve had one cup of the tea and haven’t touched it since. They either have too much flavour and become artificial tasting or they don’t have enough.

Oh my god! So much bergamot! Not good. I am not getting any raspberry flavour, most likely because it is covered up by the extremely perfumey bergamot. I was pretty excited about this one. I like earl grey’s blended with other flavours, especially berry. I really like David’s earl’s garden. But this was a miss and now I have a huge bag of this that I’m not going to drink, Any takers? Don’t let my glowing review deter you from trying this.

This tea has always intrigued me, I probably have smelled this in store 10 times, but I never pick it up. I love jasmine and I really like lemon if it is done right, but the smell of this always reminded me of a lemony cleaning product. The smell is so strong. Luckily that didn’t carry over into the taste, but it just didn’t do it for me. I didn’t get any jasmine and the lemon just wasn’t how I like my lemon to be, kind of artificial tasting even though it is all natural ingredients. I will finish my sample of this but will probably not pick this up again.

Hmmmm, looks like I already rated this one a long time ago, and not very generously either. Well I am bumping the rating of this up. This is another green tea I picked up to try to increase my collection of teas that I can drink without sugar. I think this may be one I can keep. It’s very tropical tasting, and I’m getting some not ripe banana flavour, kind of that sour banana flavour, but it is quite pleasant. This reminds me of daydreamer from last year’s spring collection, actually it tastes exactly the same to me from what I can remember.

I didn’t drink a lot of tea growing up, just the red rose my nana would make me with about 3 teaspoons of sugar added to it. I started getting into loose leaf tea about a decade ago when I visited our local tea house and tried Rooibos for the first time, though I only drank it on occasion. I didn’t get serious about it until David’s tea came to town. I was on a diet and wanted something I could drink without sugar that had a lot of flavours to choose from.

I prefer black teas, but oolong and green come in a close second. White and guayusa are in the middle, while mate, rooibos and herbals are at the bottom of my list.

Likes: banana, jasmine, pumpkin, lychee, blueberry, chocolate
Dislikes: orange, ginger, rose, hibiscus, butterscotch, honeybush

My non-tea related interests are music, camping, poker, softball, snowboarding, biology and animals. I have 2 dogs and they are my whole life.
