drank Caramel Matcha by Red Leaf Tea

Ugh. I still have a cold. I had to get up at 5:45 am because I puppy-sit on Tuesdays. And then at about 8 am I somehow re-injured the muscle in my back that I had hurt a couple of weeks ago and it is mostly my own darned fault for hunching over an iPad all the time.

After lunch, I wanted something a little bit pampering. I heated eight ounces of milk in the microwave, then added 1/2 tsp. of matcha powder and 1 tsp. sugar. I mixed all this in the Pyrex cup with my Bamix immersion blender and poured it into a pretty mug that a friend gave me from Williamsburg. The froth on this is unbelievable. You would think that a huge handful of marshmallows had been melted on top of this drink.

It was also delicious and enabled me to get through geometry class today! I plan to make another one for hubby when he gets home from work!

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
