drank Mademoiselle by THEODOR

This was one of my birthday teas from youngest. She loves Earl Grey so I thought this would be a big hit with her, but she strongly preferred the sample of Earl Grey Royal they sent. The bergamot was milder in that one.

She didn’t mind the strength of the bergamot in this – she likes bergamot a lot so that wasn’t it. Maybe the base is milder in the other or maybe I overleafed and didn’t realize.

The aroma was nice. It is bergamot and lavender, but the lavender doesn’t smell like granny’s soap, it smells more herbal, more savory. You really pick up the scent that tells lavender and rosemary are close cousins. I enjoyed the complex aroma.

The lavender also does not come across as soapy in the flavor. And I am definitely going to try this one Iced, just for us, as we are hitting temps in the 80’s this week and I would love to see if I can make something mimic Earl Grey Iced from Southren Boy Teas.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
