Ashman prefers this one, but when drinking tea sans additions I prefer Almond Black.
If I were adding milk and sugar, this one would win but I rarely do that. I do like this one and I understand that Almond Black is just a bit “one note” for Ashman but as an accompaniment to a meal or tea time snacks, Almond Black is good for me.

Not sure why, but the cookie teas like Cookie by Lupicia, White Christmas by Lupicia, and Almond Sugar Cookie from S&V all have really deep bass pastry notes that I have to be in the mood for.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fifteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
