drank Elyse's Blend by Harney & Sons
3240 tasting notes

WOW! What a nice surprise! This was the tea test for tea party today, and it was sooo good. Much better than I expected since my dearest most favorite teas are usually Fujian Chinese black teas or Ceylons. This is sold in the “tea blends” section of the Harney website rather than the “flavored tea” section, so I was very surprised when I opened the sample pack and sniffed. This wasn’t just tea…Ah! The honey! And when you brew this, would you believe the honey made it pretty darn close to a Golden Monkey? It is Tower of London-ish without the fruitiness. This was wonderful tea and I would gladly buy a whole tin! Smooth, no bitterness, not astringent.

Preparation
205 °F / 96 °C 4 min, 0 sec

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
