Aaaaah, it is going to be a better day. The ironing is done, the clothes are put away, school is underway, and I made a Christmas card this morning that only took me…um….an hour and a half. (Blush – lest you get the wrong idea, I am not that GOOD at it, I am that slow because I don’t know what I am doing but I enjoy it! It takes me that long to get results that don’t look like I am 5!) This delightful cup (well, the whole pot, actually) was my treat for getting the ironing done – not one of my favorite jobs unless it is ironing my old tea linens. What a treat it was, too!

My iron broke last weekend and I keep “forgetting” to get a new one (I really am forgetting but I am sure I am forgetting because I don’t love ironing! When my tea kettle broke I was running around THAT DAY to replace it :)

What kind of card crafts do you do? I invested in a Cricut over the summer and there are a few nifty tea and teacup die-cuts out there, though I wish they’d have an entire cartridge devoted to all things tea and coffee.

I use mostly Stampin Up products so I became a demonstrator for the discount! I mainly use the Big Shot for die cuts. I love to color stamped images, mostly with watercolors but sometijmes with Copics or pencils even though I am not artistic. It is still lots of fun! Today I was glamming up the three wise men with shimmer paints!

Jacqueline, I agree. Forget the iron, but a broken tea kettle is an emergency!

Jacqueline, I am with you on immediately needing to replace the kettle. My iron has probably gotten dusty, lost or broken as it has been ages since I have used it. Thankfully button down shirts aren’t a requirement for my job and I love wrinkle free khakis!

OK, I’m weird…I look forward to ironing…at my house, that’s my opportunity to set up the board in the living room and catch up on all my stacked up DVR-ing.
Cuppa tea within reach is a must, too, although it has to be wa-y-y-y-y far from the ironing board; can’t tell you how many time’s I’ve stained perfectly clean laundry that way!

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
