drank Elyse's Blend by Harney & Sons

Something is messing with my tea mojo on this one! The first time I tried it I was in LOVE with it. I sent some to Sandy along with samples of some French teas (Damman Freres) and she preferred this one. But again today I have done something wrong in the steeping parameters somewhere. It is just a tad astringent and not as sweet. Perhaps I need to cut my steeping time and lower the water temp a tad. It is a good tea, but it isn’t making me swoon like the first time I had it, and it is probably my fault!

It must be me. I added milk and sugar and ended up finishing the pot, and as it cooled it reminded me more of the Dammann Freres I liked so much – Coquelicot Gourmand.

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
