drank Tower of London by Harney & Sons
3235 tasting notes

A neighbor has decided she wants to have a tea party, and she wants my youngest daughter to be her “barista”, if that is the correct term. (Daughter suggested geisha and I told her no, no, altogether different!) The neighbor drinks coffee, doesn’t like flavored coffee, but likes flavored creamers. She thought she wanted all black teas and has only had grocery store black and green teas, but I thought that for a GROUP of ladies at a tea party a wide assortment of different teas would be fun.

After hearing her preferences, I decided that Tower of London would be a good starting place. It is similar to Paris, but not as strong. The berry flavor is a little more forward, the honey is sweet, and the bergamot is a bit milder. She liked it! Hey, she drank three cups of it! And she didn’t even sweeten it even though she said she always sweetens everything. I think we may have another convert!

I told her we have only 48 teas to go to taste them all before June 10th. Nooooo problem.

I love hearing about the tea party planning! I’d love to know what makes the final cut, and what food she decides to serve, too! Makes me want to have one, too! and lol w the geisha!

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
