drank Vanilla Black by Harney & Sons
3238 tasting notes

First day back to school in my house! We have lots of traditions, like the morning “bike ride to school” with their dad. They bike to the grocery store and buy apples, candy bars, and flowers for the teacher. We homeschool by the way! :). Then they bike home to find their grade level and teacher name posted on the door. LOL! And their dad often brings a bogus note as to why his kids were late for school, usually blaming their mother, ME! LOL!

This afternoon we were starving after stuffing all this new knowledge in our heads. A pot of vanilla black and some fresh pound cake hit the spot. Harney’s Vanilla Black stops me in my tracks every time. It is so smooth and delicious and is very affordable. It pairs great with so many different foods, and is good hot or iced.

I’ve not tried this flavor yet and I need to get on it! I hope that you never have any heated parent-teacher conferences. That would be therapy territory :)

Being an elementary school teacher myself who strives to make the beginning of the year special – your traditions are awesome!

I realized that after this year I will only have one student! I loved loved loved teaching my kids to read, and I am thinking that unless SOMEONE tosses a grand baby my way and lets me read to it A LOT, I may have to get a teaching certificate myself! I would love to teach in a Miss Read style country school!

Reading of your family ‘back to school’ traditions made me smile from ear to ear ♡

I’m a huge fan of H&S Vanilla Comoro, but am very tempted to try this one too!

Bio

I am a music teacher, tutor, and former homeschool mom (25 years!) who started drinking loose leaf tea about fourteen years ago! My daughters and I have tea every day, and we are frequently joined by my students or friends for “tea time.” Now my hubby joins us, too. His tastes have evolved from Tetley with milk and sugar to mostly unadorned greens and oolongs.

We have learned so much history, geography, and culture in this journey.

My avatar is a mole in a teacup! Long story…
