drank Good Morning by Lupicia

I had a late night where I couldn’t sleep – so I stayed up watching Coffee Prince. Yeah, don’t watch a funny show when everyone else is asleep, I had to hold back laughing.

Woke up and I felt just run over and too lazy to make decent tea. Yay tea bags! I just tossed this in some 200f water and slouched over my art desk to stare try and stay awake. I had Mr. Owly to keep my company. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=529215080442135&set=a.517063994990577.124981.516160198414290&type=1&theater
I’ve been too lazy to change his kimono, but I think I will when spring officially arrives.

I like the kimono :) and of course your Mr.Owl

Oolong Owl

The kimono is a scarf wrapped around him, with a ribbon. I got Mr. Owly at YVR airport – he’s a Northern spotted owl replica.

Coffee Prince is awesome!

Sipdown! I’m totally on a roll here for sipping down and finishing off teas!
Muhahahahaaaaaa!

This was a good cup, after I drank it my husband asked why I smelled like caramel and if he could have some. It was the tea! (he didn’t want any once he found out it was tea)

drank Creamy Eggnog by Butiki Teas
1271 tasting notes

Oh man, this tea is super yummy! It’s totally not eggnog season right now, but I was saving to try this tea for the perfect day, and I totally regret not trying it sooner!

The eggnog flavor is perfect, I like it more than my non-dairy options for eggnog. I wanna try steeping it with a cinnamon stick sometime as I do like a spicy eggnog.

sip down! Goodbye Choco Cinnamon and its cute little chocolate stars. Last cup is so so as I got mostly dredges and not many chocolate stars.

I’ve been sipping down quite a bit lately, I should do a new tea order! haha!

I watched way too much Korean dramas yesterday – I got hooked on the show “Faith” and I think I watched 4 or 5 episodes. Since I vegged out the entire day, I feel drained today.

This tea kinda is like a green tea, with a little lotus seed and walnuts steeped up. I would love a bit more nutty flavor, but this tea is nice as a twist to regular green tea. If you like nutty teas and want something a little different, give this one a try!

Kasumi no Chajin

I liked the way this smelled more then tasted. have you tried Persimmon Tree’s Lotus green yet?

Oolong Owl

not yet, I was actually going to get that tea last time, but it didn’t make the cut. It’s on the list though!

Kasumi no Chajin

I’ll include the rest of my sample in our trade then when you are ready.

Claire

Your cup and saucer in your blog posts are so cute! Where did you get them, if I can ask?

Oolong Owl

I bought them both at Daiso, a japanese dollar store chain. I love their dishes!

Claire

Awesome, thanks Awkward Soul! :) I think we have a Daiso pretty close by.

Sip down!

I didn’t know I had like 2teaspoons left! So much for my hot cup of apple pie latte with whipped cream, I just made this as a regular cup of tea!
Booo! might have to buy this one again!

Mmm, this tea is solid! I’m thinking I’m going to do another SteepCity order soon! Very impressed with their teas!
I’ve been drinking this one for 2 days while watching korean dramas.

Coconut grove is very sweet and coconutty! The taste is like big fresh, slippery slabs of coconut over top juicy sweet fruity white tea. The white tea is very flavorful and sweet. The floral is light here.

Coconut Grove gives me the impression of something sophisticated classic, with a bit of romance – but with a bit of modern hip from the coconut flavoring. If you like coconut and sweeter teas, you’ll love this one!

I was kind of on the fence, but you’ve convinced me to order this! Coconut and rose just sounds soooo good

make sure to use the promocode from the discussion forum! I’m trying to narrow down what to do for my next order.

drank Red Velvet Cake by DAVIDsTEA

sip down! In iced latte mode!

Mmm, this is good as an iced latte – really sweet and a little cake batter like. Slightly chocolatey as well.

These days, I’ve been feeling really happy when I finish off a tea – I feel asif I should reward myself by buying more tea! Muuhahahaha!

Iced

Can’t argue with that logic…..(X^D)

sip down!

Actually a really bad sipdown. I still have a cough and it seemed to pick up today. Maybe the dry weather? I decided to put some fresh grated ginger and honey with this tea. EW. EWW. And I gotta finish it as I’m pooped from jiu jitsu and don’t wanna steep up another tea.

I really need to buy more caffeine free tea. I got maybe a couple left.

Iced

I was raised on floral oolongs and green teas, mostly “beauty” teas. Early on as a kid, I can guzzle an entire pot of tea (or two) at a Chinese or Japanese restaurant.
These days I like adventurous and interesting tea blends. I’m fearless in trying new teas! I’m into oolong, pu’erh, white, green, black, guayusa, mate and herbals. I’m not into red rooibos but I keep buying it anyway.

The tea brand that got me started into loose leaf teas was DAVIDsTea. I used to live in Vancouver Canada and had access to their shop, however that is now limited since I moved to southern California.

However, the perks of living in the US is ultra cheap, fast shipping! Since then, my tea stash insanely expanded.

Other stuff I’m into that sneaks into my tea notes: Brazilian jiu-jitsu, metal music, drawing, painting, cooking, photography and nail polish.

BTW, my Steepster cupboard is not even close to accurate and I track my teas on a spreadsheet. Last update 573 Teas – August 2015.
