Very sweet, tangy and citrusy- just what it promises! The nose smells wonderful and rich, and very fresh. The tea turns out a beautiful shade of ruby and is very impressive- I’d recommend a glass teacup to show it off garnished with an orange wedge or something for decoration. It’s not my flavor but my fiance loves it!

Tastes like the Earl Grey Moonlight but with the heady floral notes that only lavender can provide so strongly. It’s hard to get my senses around since I’m really not that much a lavender person (though I do love lavender cookies when they’re available). It’s uplifting, creamy, sweet, moody but flavorful and the bergamot (which I usually detest) behaves.

I am an absolute vanilla fiend- only if it’s really good, authentic vanilla flavor. You could even go so far as to call me a vanilla snob. Vanilla extract from a grocery store? Oh, no. Not at all good enough; I’ll drive an hour round trip out of my way for good Madagascarian bourbon vanilla beans in extract handmade by local experts and pay the $$ for a little bottle. That said, this green tea is perfection in a cup. It may well be my number one tea ever, though I’m loathe to call it that for now since I do like variety.

It has an incredibly sweet nose to it and it really delivers that in flavor. With a regular green tea one would expect a bit of an acidic bite at the end of the flavor- not so with this tea; the vanilla really delivers here and rounds out all of green tea’s rougher edges. It’s super smooth every time and I absolutely love this stuff. I was getting a wee bit tired of it after I’d consumed 9 ounces’ worth, but my fiance and I absolutely can’t get enough of the flavor. So we’re working on a new 3-oz bag. :D

Heaven in a cup, truly!

It took a while to get this one to wear on me since I’d been coming from a place where my only exposure to pumpkin spice tea was another brand’s very-artificial-tasting tea, and I also had a couple run-ins with getting my water temperatures down pat. Once that was done, this tea quickly became a favorite. It’s got just enough spice that it shares that warmth throughout the notes of the cup, and it’s very authentic to the pumpkin flavor. Overall, it’s a really good tea and my pumpkin-spice craving fixer.

By far- and coming from someone who once eagerly poked around Asian grocery stores- this is the best jasmine tea I’ve had yet! It’s very smooth and fragrant. As soon as I opened the package, I knew it was going to be good- if I could properly brew it. The previous teas I’ve tried that were jasmine in flavor, I just couldn’t do it- they’d be burned or not hot enough or too rough at the edges.

I’ve since gotten unused to jasmine tea, but I’m going to fall right back in love with it now. I also have a tin of the master’s jasmine tea, so I’m looking forward to this as well.

I’ve had this once before, and hadn’t been sure what to make of it. I figured, whatever, I’ll try it again later. Now is this later.

It’s very subtle, but has a very fascinating, soft floral flavor to it. It’s refreshing and smooth, and at one point I just got a very faint fruity note. At first I thought it was silver needle but a lower quality, but no- same region, yes, but not the same exact flavor by a long shot. Floral, soft, subtle, light- it’s something, but very much appreciated for what it is.

Pegging it in momentarily as “wouldn’t recommend” as most folks I know like nonwhite teas, and that for a white tea, the flavor is nonetheless pretty quiet rather than other white teas I’ve had. It’s certainly not “meh”- from a 50, up to 60 for the unique complex flavors (however soft) and up to 70 for the fact that it stands out on its own from other white teas.

Flavors: Drying, Floral, Smooth

drank Currant by Adagio Teas
39 tasting notes

Currant smells like the wonderfully unique berry flavor that it is. It’s in between sweet and tart in this black tea, and isn’t cloying nor artificially flavored, nor is it rough and tangy enough to curl the tongue. It’s slightly dry after drinking. We brewed this iced first overnight, and it tastes great! This would be the tea to turn to if you’re tired of the usual big berry flavors (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry) but still want something berry-ful. I couldn’t remember what currant tastes like since it doesn’t seem to be commonly available where I live, and didn’t have much hopes for it since I picked it up on a whim. I’m really glad I did! I love it. Trying it warm will also be a treat.

I’m rating it as an 80 since it’s not an over the top outstanding tea, but it’s a humble and simple one. I’m also rating it lower than 100 since it’s not a favorite, but extremely good for what it is. :)

Flavors: Berry, Black Currant, Smooth, Sweet, Tart

So this is my second fill of the Fujian Silver Needle tea; my first had been a sample that blew us away (us= my fiance and I). We had gotten the sale on the 3-oz tin not too long ago. It has a very light floral, subtle, complex flavor of very refreshing feel. Before we had been using 1 tablespoon per 20-oz cast-iron tetsubin; this is much better with 1.5 tablespoons for a slightly richer taste. Want to say almost cucumbery accent, though I know that’s not right. It’s a very unique taste, but by far, a most excellent, top-notch tea and our favoritest so far of the master teas (we’ll be trying other master teas shortly).

I probably should just purchase a 3-oz bag, since I very much like the flavor and am on my third sample size. >_> It’s sumptuously raspberry despite the apple bits and hibiscus inclusions, and is a very full-bodied flavor. I wasn’t expecting much when I first got it as a newbie to Adagio- but I’m so glad I did! I had been thinking Celestial Seasonings’ “raspberry zinger”… this blows that right out of the water!

Very, very much a favorite and especially tastes divine both iced or hot- it doesn’t matter.

drank Strawberry by Adagio Teas

I really like how bright this is. I’m very new to Ceylon tea vs regular black teas and other tea types, so the brightness of the ceylon really lended itself to the strawberry flavor, making it upbeat with a perk, and only a slight bit of sugar. The nose it gives off in the bag is great, and the flavor is definitely strawberry-y enough for me. Great stuff. :) I really like mixing it half and half with cream tea also. I do agree that it could be even more juicy and in-your-face strawberry, but it’s enough to be cheerful and satisfying in the morning! Love it.
