Like a few other Davids teas that I’ve tried, this one confused me at my first sip, but after a few more swigs, I decided it was alright. I must admit however, that first sip really reeked of disappointment to me. I am in love with Davids Big Apple tea for its fresh fruity taste, so in comparison this Persian Apple tea tastes so floral to me that I am left searching for any hint of apple. It’s like I’m bobbing for apples and I keep getting mouthfuls of rose petals. I suppose it’s possible that when I scooped the dry tea, I may have gotten a strange ratio of ingredients? After my initial disappointment however, I came to appreciate this tea on its own merits. It’s refreshing, light, and versatile enough to be enjoyed as either a hot or cold tea. It’s not bad, I will enjoy finishing off my little sample, but I don’t think this is one that I will jump to restock.
