A couple of months ago, I signed up for Amanda ‘SoggyEnderman’ Wilson‘s Tea Advent Calendar. It’s been sitting, waiting patiently, for December to arrive.

Today has arrived.

I opened my box (it looked like a chinese carry out box) and pulled out the first envelope.

I followed the directions she provided and steeped.

Three minutes later, I have tea.

The aroma is gingery. The tea is a little cloudy, but as I drank, things settled and the tea cleared somewhat.

I was a little disappointed in the ginger flavor. It wasn’t as strong as I hoped. Nor was the peanut flavor.

But it was still nice.

I’m excited to see what tomorrow’s envelope brings.

I was on the same boat, I thought it was a nice tea but really wished the peanuts or ginger (or both) would have been stronger.

I started my DF advent calendar too! This tea sounds interesting, I think I would like peanuts in a tea. I can see it being genmaicha-esque. :)

I had hoped it would have more of a nutty flavor, too, toasty roasty or something, but it didn’t. It was a nice green that shined through, but I was missing the other flavors that I wanted.

Still relatively new to drinking teas, or so I feel, even though I’ve been at it for several months now.

I’m drinking more and more of different varieties of tea.

It’s been a few months that I’ve been on here. I’ve expanded from greens and flavored teas to now I’m all about the oolongs and some unflavored blacks. I’m mostly drinking unflavored teas now, but there are a few of those flavored ones that have a special place in my heart.

Pu-erh is also something I’ve recently found that I enjoy.

I have four kitties and a spouse.
