A great Darjeeling that taste like the teas over $150 a pound of tea but cost $40. Its officially Darjeeling with the official seal. Did you know that 400 metric tons are sold annually and Darjeeling only produces 100 metric tons? So look for the seal and make sure your getting what you are paying for.

The tea is flora and stronger then a first flush. The tea has a handsome color. All Darjeeling tea needs to be treated as a Oolong. The reason is that true Darjeeling is not totally fermented and that is why you can see a hint of green on several leaves. Also for this tea use less then a tea spoon per 8 oz. It will give you a sweet tea and not the bitter tea you may have experiences with Darjeeling tea.

This is a light reddish brown color and has a semi-sweet/semi-fruity/ever-so-light smoky scent to it. It has a juicy floral taste to it that is quite unique. The end of the sip is fairly juicy, too!

neat blend!

At first taste I didn’t think this tea was very special. It wasn’t until the 3rd or 4th or even 5th sip that I finally started to appreciate it. It’s mellow but yummy and a hint of smokiness!

Pleasantly bitter and bold

Shouldn’t be bitter! Tea never should be bitter. Darjeeling is more of a Oolong and should be seeped at a lower temperature. Darjeeling is a very delicate and sweet tea. In my opinion the best tea there is but most people seep to long or then disturb the leafs to much hence releasing the bitter flavor.

Another tea I was unable to find an official description for…Oops!
Oh well…on to the sip…
Medium Brown in color…nil for smell…taste…semi-earthy/semi-sweet…neither overpowering. I think I like it! Pretty straight and narrow, but tasty.

Very light in color. No scent.
Doesn’t really taste like much…not a lot of flavor. While it isn’t a bad green tea – it’s not memorable either.
