Went for a teabag tonight, and decided to try Captain’s Tea Rooibos Karamell.
First sniff of this tea is very slightly sweet, as though there was honey in it. I’m not normally one to add honey (or any sweetener) to my tea, and I didn’t this time, but I’ve discovered recently that rooibos seems to go especially well with it.
I do get that honey sweetness when I sip it. The buttery caramel note comes out from behind in the aftertaste, as the tea is going down my throat. This is a nice and comforting tea.

I got this from an online package swap. I drank it hot; it has just a little bit of a funk on its own, but I put stevia in it and that really made the flavors pop. Very strong, nuanced berry flavor; the ingredients include hibiscus, apple, rose hips, blackberry, orange peel, currant, blueberry and vanilla. Very yummy! I’d like to get some more and perhaps mix it with a green tea.
I got this from a friend in Germany. It’s a fruit tea that smells strongly of apples. It reminds me a little of apple cider. By itself, it’s all right, but I found it tastes best with a bit of sugar and a stick of cinnamon. The directions say to steep it for around 5-8 minutes, but I did a bit under and it tasted good. I’ll have to let it steep a bit longer next time, just to see how strong it gets.
