A great tea for anytime of the year, it will help wake you up and make you feel ready to take on anything. I’m drinking this tea just as is, no milk, or sweetner and it’s awesome!

This tea is amazing! The eucalyptus oils stand out so much in this tea. It always helps ease my cough, and helps clear out my sinus. It even seems to help when my allergies start kicking in.

It’s just a very clean tea, easy to enjoy too.

disappointment :(
this one smells phenomenal in the package; so bright and citrusy!
i usually love lemongrass in my citrus teas, but i think there might just be too much in this blend – once steeped it came across very grassy and unpleasant.
i will definitely try this iced soon though, and bump up the rating if that improves the flavour any! i just made a grapefruit simple syrup, so i’ve got high hopes! fingers crossed!

i was so excited about this one, and it alllmost stood up to my expectations.
i hardly got any saltiness, which was okay since i was a tad nervous about that part, but the caramel didn’t come through as strongly as i would’ve liked. maybe there just weren’t enough caramel bits in my little 10g sample, but definitely willing to give this one another try.

re-tasted and it’s just okay. i get a burnt sugar taste and not much else. a pass overall, i’ve found tastier ‘novelty’ and flavoured black teas, and lovelier straight black teas. ah well

yummmm! tried this one iced first off, because i can’t really imagine it showing off as much when it’s hot, and oooh it was good!
i sweetened it with some lemon simple syrup that i made, and it was really excellent. very juicy and light and refreshing!

i make it with equal parts sugar and water, then grate the zest of two or three lemons, depending on the strength you like! then i let that simmer for 15-20 minutes to make sure it’s good and infused, then store the whole thing in a jar in the fridge, and strain out the zest when i make lemonade or iced teas!! :)

oh, and i save the juice of the lemons for fresh lemonade :)

this tea is delicious. with a name like strawberry shortcake how could it NOT be.
it has caffeine, but i’ve been drinking coffee again for the first time in probably a year, so i can enjoy this tea with no guilt. in fact it will help me ween off caffeine again :)
this tea is warm and inviting and smells sweet and amazing. because of the candy pieces in it it’s also slightly sweet on the tongue. but not too sweet. it tastes real. and smells real. and i want more.

So the other day I was sitting down to play some Fallout 3 (an evil run, heheh) and eat a small dinner on the side. On a TV dinner table nearby, I had a Jamaican beef patty and a cup of Teaopia’s Soleil de Provence (which I just discovered that I’ve never added to my Steepster cupboard, making me even more concerned about how disorganized it is – I’m sure I need to remove stuff, and apparently stuff is missing from it! oh no!). I finished the patty very quickly while my tea was still cooling, and then stupidly left both the full mug of tea and the plate of crumbs on the table while I paused my game and left the room very briefly for a reason I can no longer remember.

…Did I mention I have four cats?

Yes, two males and two females. The females are both hell on wheels, and the males – while sweet – are both dumb as sacks of broken hammers. One of them, Kaleb, is a bit smarter than his brother Mustang, but makes up for it by being incredibly anxious and skittish.

So while I was out of the room, Kaleb jumped up onto the table to get the beef patty crumbs. When I came back into the room, he panicked and bolted.

The table – sturdy enough to leave drinks on with no fear, but not sturdy enough to withstand a 12-pound cat launching himself off of it – tipped so fast that Malcolm Gladwell would be shocked. The plate and mug both hit the stone hearth of the fireplace (which is beside the TV, and no, we don’t ever use it) and shattered…although the tea thankfully just sank into the stone and didn’t appear to get near the ton of cables associated with the TV, the PS3, the DVD/VCR player, the PS2, etc.

Not actually that big a deal in the end, except for a broken plate, and, oh yeah, MY FAVOURITE MUG!

It was my Taco Time mug, which I think my boss got us one Christmas when I worked at Taco Time. Yeah, it was not a pretty mug (I mean, it had a fast food logo on it!); but it was a substantial-sized mug that was great for lattes, it was white and reflected the color of the tea, plus it was something I’d gotten at my first-ever “real” job (where I worked for six years!) and just basically had sentimental value.

I know it’s my fault, but I’m seriously bummed about the mug.

But.

This gave me the perfect excuse, didn’t it?

I have wanted a glass tea mug for, oh, just about forever. But I could not justify the purchase when we have so many mugs. Well, I had to make myself feel better, didn’t I? And I needed a bigger mug for lattes. I already have a Perfect Mug that my mother gave me a few Christmases ago – it’s sort of a charcoal color, and I don’t know if they even sell that color anymore. I like it a lot, but because it’s so dark it’s hard to see the color of a tea’s liquor.

So now I have this one! I’m very excited, I love it. The glass feels amazing on my tongue and teeth (I hope I’m not the only one who considers the texture of the cup before purchasing) and I just love that I can gaze at the color of the tea as it steeps and while I drink it. The infuser is less clunky than the old design – hard to explain, but it has less of a “lip” near the top where tea leaves tend to get stuck in my old one.

My only issue with it is that it clearly looses heat faster, and is dangerous to pick up by anything but the handle when it’s freshly steeped. But that’s to be expected – after all, it’s glass.

Cats and mugs don’t always seem to mix—one of my kittens went through a phase where she obsessively put her paws in every container with liquid in it, which usually led to spills… and occasionally broken cups. At least it gives you an excuse to shop!

Lucky that the electronics were not harmed but yeah sad to see the taco mug go.
Yet now you have a memory – instead of it being lost in a move, or something where you never know what became of it you have this memory which will last forever :)
I have four cats and three dogs. Nothing here is safe!

Contrary to what my many negative reviews may have you think, I don’t completely hate David’s Tea. I’ve just been disappointed by a LOT of what I’ve tried lately.

However, one of their teas I will always adore is Long Life Oolong. It don’t care what is or isn’t in it, I just know that it tastes and smells amazing and I absolutely love it. The taste is clean, refreshing, and slightly sweet. It works well as a hot tea but it’s even more delicious when iced.

This is definitely a tea I’ll be stocking up on. I can’t get enough of it!

I seem to have difficulty brewing this tea correctly… it either tastes over-brewed and bitter or under-brewed and bland. So far I’ve brewed it twice with vastly different results, but now it’s too late in the evening for me to try again since a black tea has enough caffeine to keep me up for a good portion of the night. Alas, we shall have to wait until morning for the final verdict… stay tuned.

The next morning: Sigh. Still got it wrong… and it turned out slightly bitter. Again! Maybe you others will have more luck with this tea than I do because right now, I wouldn’t really recommend it. I can’t help but wonder if it would’ve been better without the black tea base, just the berries to steep, but then it might get an awful lot like Bear Trap.

hooray! my brother’s girlfriend was so sweet to pick up a batch of samples for me from DAVIDsTEA on their latest trip to the store (2 hours away for the closest one! argh!) so i’ll be doing a TON of DAVIDs reviews soon… hopefully ;)
ANYWAY

blueberry jam! dry, it smells a bit tangy, like fake blueberry flavouring, but after it’s steeped the black tea aroma really comes through, with just a hint of that natural kind of blueberry pie smell. yummy!
in the 10g sample i got, the tea to fruit percentage seems about 50/50, which is nice to see! makes me think i’ll get a lot of fruit flavour.
yep, i definitely get that concentrated dried blueberry or jam flavour, not like a fresh blueberry at all, but still really nice and fruity! and it lingers too, like my tongue is coated in blueberry goodness! hahah
will definitely try this iced and give a verdict on that as well (though i imagine it will be lovely)

This really was not a love at first sip or smell for me. My fiancee actually loved it so much, so I initially got it for him to enjoy. When I would make it for him, I got used to the smell and then learned to love the taste. It really tastes best when iced.

Clearly it’s not winter considering it’s almost 80°F outside and it’s only 9:00am, but this tea sounded like a good start to my early morning (the baby woke up at 5:30am, ouch).

Opening the sample packet (sent to me by the lovely Bonnie) it smelled of walnuts with a slightly yeasty aroma lingering in the background. Like a good slice of nutty bread. Considering this tea has been likened to banana nut bread, I saw this as a good sign.

The tea once brewed made my kitchen smell like a bakery- nutty, warm, sweet. The tea tasted the same! If banana nut bread were a liquid, it would be this tea.

The tea isn’t bad by any means, but with the strength of the nuts and other flavorings, you lose the tea flavor. And that to me was rather disappointing.

I think this tea is all a matter of taste. Many others don’t seem to enjoy it, but I can’t get enough! It’s my go-to morning tea as it refreshes, soothes, energizes, and detoxes me.

It makes me feel good, and I love sipping on the freshness of it. The ginger, peppermint, and sea lettuce really make it light and fresh, which I am thoroughly enjoying this summer.

This is even better iced than it is hot. It was really hot yesterday, and I’m glad I had a few glasses of this. I find adding a little bit of sugar to iced teas brings the flavors out a bit more. It works very well with the subtle flavor of the pear here. Yum.

I didn’t have as much of this as I would have liked for a hot infusion, primarily cos I used most of it for some iced tea. Consequently, I steeped for a little bit longer than recommended (5.5 minutes rather than 4). It is a little tart. I suspect it would be more astringent if I had more of the tea to steep. Anyway, it’s quite nice and light and I can taste some pear in the back of my mouth. Yum.

When I opened the package, I actually smelled strawberries and chocolate, for some reason. It took a couple seconds, but my brain could finally rearrange it into strawberry shortcake. When it’s brewed, it smells like strawberry shortcake. And when I drank it, strawberry shortcake! It’s everything but the intense sugar. Very tasty. Now I just have to try it iced.

I like to keep a pot or pitcher of tea in the fridge in hot weather season. It hasn’t really bee all that hot, which means the iced teas aren’t as refreshing as intended but they are still tasty.

I’ve learned to make my peace with hibiscus. It just needs to be iced. This particular tea intrigued me because of the cinnamon. Another reviewer mentioned that it tasted like Christmas and I completely agree! There’s actually a popular German Christmas tea that tastes a lot like this. I can drink this straight once diluted, but husband preferred it full strength with a dollop of honey. I love that it tastes like fruit punch and cinnamon. Quite a good fruit tea.

The flavour of this tea is quite thin with the black tea flavour overpowering the blueberry. There is also an unpleasant flavour reminiscent of a metallic flavour on the aftertaste. There is stevia included in this blend which I have found to have a sensitivity to and may very well be the reason that it is unappealing to me.

Juicy round flavour with a thinning on the finish. Reminiscent of earthy taste which, I am sure, is sourced from the rooibos. The after-taste on this one is a little too sweet- I get that unpleasant lingering sugary feel which I am guessing is sourced from the candies and the sprinkles. This tisane is definitely reminiscent of Jolly Jellybean by David’s Tea. There is a creaminess on the finish. From drinking this tea I am reminded of white chocolate cookies.

Had a cup of this iced on the weekend.
We went for a walk and it was HOT out – muggy hot, sweaty hot! haha.
That said, being extremely thirsty and bringing this along on our nature walk was really nice. Being outside surrounded by trees actually helped me appreciate the “herby” taste of the lemon grass and by the end of the walk I was craving it. Of course, there is still a slight medicinal taste, almost reminiscent of alcohol in a way. The more I drank, the more that taste sank to the background and the more I appreciated the very real, fresh, juicy raspberry taste. That raspberry flavour really saves the day with this tea!

This one smells and tastes like Blue Raspberry! Well, also like fresh raspberries, but I’m loving the tartness that is like a slush puppy with a squirt of shocker. Yum.

The lemon verbena imparts quite a bit of lemon flavour – it took a little getting used to, but I can see why this would be delicious as a fizzy drink. Sweet and tart and refreshing, with a squeeze of lemon in your sparkling water.

All in all, I found the taste a little too “herbal” (maybe the rooibos?) for my tastes, but we will enjoy the rest of this 25g bag!

Also enjoying it iced with a squirt of sweetener. Looking forward to making a tea sangria with this one and lots of fresh respberries!

I just had a very very specific craving for an iced fruit tea latte.
Then I found this at the back of my tea cupboard! Threw the whole bag in the steeper, about 3 tbsp probably.
Sadly forgot that almond milk curdles with hot bevs, but then I made a second cup with regular milk!

Trial over: my beverage? A delicious creamy and sweet strawberry milkshake flavour! YUM!

I shared this with my coworker today and she loved it! yay! Then she told me she doesn’t hate any tea, except pumpkin flavoured. I can work with that. Let the tea tasting begin!

We both enjoyed it with no additions, and it was very smooth, subtly sweet and tasted exactly like fresh wild strawberries. The hibiscus turned the liquor the perfect shade of pink and added an extremely mild tartness. Gentle and soothing.

In comparison with the Strawberry White of old, I find this one very similar (of course), but with more Bai Mu Dan-taste and a bit more strawberry in the taste! Actually, more than a bit more – quite a bit more.

It’s still not the prominent taste of the tea – but that’s what I did like about Strawberry White – it was a delicate white tea with a hint of strawberry. This one fits the bill a bit more in terms of tastiness, but it is definitely similar to it’s mother-tea.

Enjoying it over ice with a squirt of sweetener.
