Tummy Tamers usually scare me…they usually taste medicine-E. This smells like Lemon, Mint, and Catnip…still kind of scared…

It’s a medium brown/green color…still sort of scared…

Well…
Not so scary after sipping…

It’s minty, somewhat herbal-esque, a little fruity, lemony, green-tea-like. It’s not bad…I don’t think I would purchase it, but it’s not scary :)

Ha, I just glanced at my cat and she gave me a *look*—as in don’t even think about steeping my catnip. :)

drank Chocolate Mate by KTeas

Smells like a chocolate no-bake cookie. :)

The scent is stronger than the flavoring of the liquid BUT I wouldn’t change it! It’s just-right!

Pretty good cup!

drank Bohea by KTeas

Welp! I can’t find a description for this tea from the Ktea website…not sure if they discontinued it or what but…here-goes…

It’s lighter in color than I thought it would be…a light brown. It smells smoky…like a campfire. Reminds me of a Lapsang Souchong but a little more mild…in scent and taste.

drank Pu-erh Tuo Cha by KTeas
6768 tasting notes

Couldn’t find this on their website so I am not sure if they sell it anymore…anyhow it’s interesting flavor tries to trick me! You see…when I first sipped it I thought I felt a bitterness come on but it quickly evened out. It ended up being a somewhat average strength and even taste. It took about 4 and a half minutes to unwind the cake…once it did it was SUPER dark! Comparable to the color of coffee.

Preparation
Boiling 4 min, 45 sec

I love the Pu-erh! The smell reminds me of my mom’s teapot she brought with her from China. And I agree the color goes against the mild taste.

It’s a black but it looked and tasted like a green. Not bad but not what I was looking for either. Strong aftertaste too

EvaPeva

I’m still experimenting with the 1st Flushes…they are usually quite bitter :-/

TeaEqualsBliss

this one wasn’t until I oversteeped the 2nd infusion – and that was because I totally forgot about it! Ek!

EvaPeva

hahaa, hate when that happens, its almost a fear sometimes to drink oversteeped strong teas. . .

drank Jasmine Leaf by KTeas
6768 tasting notes

Yup! Jasmine. Plain and simple. Not much to really say about it. It’s pretty average. I’m not a huge Jasmine fan but I guess it’s pretty standard as far as Jasmines go.

Cofftea

YUM! I love jasmine teas but I’d also love to control the jasmine/tea ratio. Definitely putting this in my shopping cart. Thanks for bringing it to my attention:)

TeaEqualsBliss

I think you will really like this then! It sure is Jasmine-E lol

Cofftea

What was your jasmine/water ratio?

TeaEqualsBliss

8-ounce cup…1 T Loose Leaf

EvaPeva

It’s funny how its hit or miss with Jasmine. . . it goes against the senses for me. . .beautiful smell. . .but my brain tells me I shouldn’t be drinking something that smells like potpourri. . .i’ve actually held my nose as I drank a cup once, and it worked! Try it :-p

TeaEqualsBliss

I totally ‘get what your saying’ EvaPeva! :P

Cofftea

@EvaPeva- I used to think the very same thing. I remember making my 1st loose leaf purchase and exclaiming “I do not want anything rose… I don’t want do drink my grandma’s perfume.” but now I love jasmine and rose teas- I’m seeing jasmine flavored matcha in my future…=P

EvaPeva

Well worded Cofftea. . . and yet I must admit i’m optimistic with every cup. . as a true tea drinker should be! I am still exploring the whole Jasmine field and find that the less tea I use, the better I can tolerate it. Rose is nice. . . .don’t mind rose at all. . . I think the problem was that I started out with VERY strong jasmine teas that shooed me away somewhat. . . . .any recommendations on some lite ones?

TeaEqualsBliss

I agree! That’s why I try nearly anything! LOL
Eva – I will go back thru some of my notes…there are some really good Jasmines I have tried in the last month or two…will report back soon, I hope

EvaPeva

Thanks Bliss :)

TeaEqualsBliss

Here’s one
http://steepster.com/teas/timeless-teas/6944-hand-rolled-jasmine-green

There is also a Jasmine Silver Needle from Wegman’s I like

EvaPeva

perfect…the fact that its mixed with Green will be perfect :)

TeaEqualsBliss

It seems I have trouble with the aftertaste more than anything…lol…

Peggie Bennett

Don’t be knockin’ the jasmine, I love that jasmine! :-)

EvaPeva

no knockin girl!! only inquiring on some smoother teas from the tea world…Cheers :)

Peggie Bennett

tee hee! No worries, not every taste is for everybody. I’m sure, for myself, there will be a tea out there that will turn my thinking around and I’ll be enjoying white tea! Cheers!

TeaEqualsBliss

Oh no! No knockin’ at all! Just a little Jasmine Jabber between friends! LOL

The Dry Leaf has a floral-tropical fruit type smell hidden under the green tea aroma.
The infused blend is very earthy smelling
The liquid is near clear
The tea taste itself is very refreshing and pure…juicy, even!

drank Nutz Over Lychee by KTeas
6768 tasting notes

Lychees – yeah. Lychees! I have a love/hate relationship with them. I want to love them but have had mixed experiences with them. I had a raw-stand alone Lychee once and it tasted like paint thinner.
Anyhow…this tea is Nutty and Lychee-esque. Not much Black tea flavor. Not too sure about it…

It does smell fruity but it also tastes a little like glue…it’s that darned Lychee I tell you!

I’ll tinker with this one again some day…

Cofftea

TASTES LIKE GLUE???

TeaEqualsBliss

The Lychees…yes…to me…Lychees has like a Glue or Paint Thinner taste to it…lol…not sure why!

denisend

I’ve never had a lychee… but I have a lychee sake that I ADORE. I could drink that ALL DAY LONG. But I don’t. For obvious reasons. :-)

PeteG

I love lychee tea…I have two different types and enjoy them on occasion. When you speak about paint thinner flavour…sometimes I find some Earl Grey tea so strong that it is almost toxic “paint thinner” taste/aroma…
