When I first opened the package, I got very excited because it had that strong, spicy scent of the MarketSpice signature tea. But the flavor is quite a bit different. It isn’t as spicy as the MarketSpice, and it seems quite a bit smoother as well, which I attribute to the apple-y flavors.

This does taste like Spiced Cider and black tea. A really delightful cup, and makes me eager for more Autumn (we had some autumn-like weather a few days ago, and then we had summer-like heat again. What’s up with that? Quit teasing me with the autumn and just bring it on already!)

So-So. Not bad…not awesome, either. I can taste the Cranberry but not so much the mint. There seems to be a little bit of a funky aftertaste, too, but nothing I can’t handle, I suppose. Sweet-slightly tart, with a little bit of spice of some sort.

Not as flavorful as the last few times – could have been because of a shorter infusion – still a good one, tho!

This is really tasty! After a while I could pick out the Raspberry and chocolate notes but I had a few hints of sweet basil and cranberry, too, odd…but yummy…and could be because of the flavor combo but regardless I like this very much! I’ve had 4 infusions so far today! It’s smoother than I thought it would be. I like that tho! A nice change up! This is a good one for multiple infusions – it seems to get more sweet and more ingredient defined with multiples! Interesting, fun, and flavorful! I like it!

I wish I liked this one. It smelled great! It smells like pumpkin pie and all things fall. It tastes weak and leaves me missing something. It doesn’t taste bad at all, just doesn’t carry the strong flavor I seem to crave.

This is really nice. The black tea is a strong Chinese Hunan tea. It is bold and a bit astringent toward the end of the sip. The ginger and cinnamon are mild but not bland. They don’t present themselves as wildly spicy, but they offer a gentle, warm kick. The pumpkin flavor is there, although I am finding that the aroma is more pumpkin-y than the flavor. As it cools slightly the pumpkin flavor is more apparent. Overall a very pleasant autumnal tea!

I love that you and T=B are drinking the same tea at the same time!

I can taste the cinnamon but not really the ginger. The pumpkin and black tea base are FAB tho! See my other notes :)

The Cinnamon is gentle…the ginger barely there…the pumpkin equally as smooth as the black tea. Not overly spice, brash, and definitely NOT bitter. Pretty good!

As long as I am careful not to over infused either by too much loose leaf or by length of time I am getting to where I really like this! VERY flavorful!

I’m thankful this isn’t as sweet as the other Signature Market Spice tea I tried a while back. This is a type of sweetness and flavoring I can handle! It’s much more my speed! It’s still fairly intense tho! I can taste the ‘apple’ and the spices. The spices are reminiscent of fireballs but not as intense as the other tea from before. The Black tea taste for-sure takes a back seat to the flavoring, but in this case, I like it! :)

Wow! I really REALLY like this one. Way better than I ever imagined it to be. I am usually hesitant when it comes to herbal teas because, well, they’re herbal. But, this is one that I’m kicking myself for not trying sooner. It is really good. Restorative and relaxing to sip. Sweet, creamy and delicious. YUM!

I don’t know why I am on this chai kick lately. I’m so picky about it, I don’t know why I even bother trying new ones except what if they’re amazing? Anyway.

This one is not bad, but it’s not really anything to write home about. It smells fantastic, of course. Even terrible chai smells fantastic. And it’s definitely not terrible, but it’s very, very mild.

On the other hand, aside from the mildness, this really isn’t bad. It’s a little sweeter than I expected, with some muted spicy notes, mostly cinnamon. I just expected a bit more flavor, especially from the ginger and cloves, which are not really evident. I like my tea strong like ox, though, so I can’t see this becoming a regular in my kitchen.

I like the loose leaf version so much I grabbed the bagged for work when I went for a refill. It’s not nearly as good as the loose leaf; the cinnamon was way too strong, and the cup in general was way too sweet. Pretty overwhelming, really. It also has a weird, slightly oily texture to it from the bag.

It’s not undrinkable — I’ll finish of the box at least, though probably a LOT more slowly than I went through the loose leaf — but if you’re looking for a convenient tea with these flavors, Harney and Sons has a much better version (in sachets).

Not changing my score, though, because I still adore the “real” version!

I picked this up on a recommendation, and I was a little worried when I read the reviews here, especially after I opened the jar and found the scent to be a bit overwhelmingly orangey.

Luckily, the flavor is not nearly as strong as the scent. There are still undertones of orange, but the cinnamon is what really stands out. It’s delicious! The only real problem I found was that it’s hard to taste the actual tea under the spices and orange. Still, I can see this becoming one of my favorite teas.

I’m glad I checked the ratings here first, though; this is not a tea that needs to be sweetened at all.

I LOVE this signature, orange-cinnamon tea from Market Spice. The actual store in Pike Place Market in Seattle is a complete gem. The tea is aromatic and sweet- without adding sugar. The sweetness is strange in that after gulping it down, there is no sweet aftertaste, but more of a slight oily sensation. I can see how it might be off-putting initially… but this tea is addicting. Wish I had stocked up on more while I was in Seattle…but bc it is flavored with orange essential oils, its shelf life is shorter than other teas

Having tried this both hot and chilled – iced is the way to go with this one. The banana and pineapple deliver a tropical flair to this tea.

It’s pretty good, not my favorite banana rooibos blend, but it’s a decent tisane.

Ewa

I know I should get over this at some point but it still cracks me up that there are enough banana rooibos blends for people to have favorites.

Thanks to a weird sleeping schedule this weekend I am up right now, so I thought I’d try one of the teas TeaEqualsBliss sent me (whilst playing Bulletstorm on my xbox). This one has smelled up the box with its delicious cinnamon smell so I’m diving right in. It brews up cinnamony strong – one of my favorite smells – and tastes as spicy as it smells. The base tea is decent, but doesn’t shine through over the cinnamon.

Ha! Near the same time last night, I was drinking some Tazo Organic Chai and playing Call of Duty with my son on his xbox!

I also forgot, Market Spice was my first loose leaf tea, a friend from the Seattle area sent me years ago…yum.
