Bleh. I was expecting something spicy and warm. Instead it’s bland and insipid, which is hugely disappointing considering the price.

Not so much — has a strange aroma which makes drinking a little difficult. Great company but this one’s not so great.

So disappointing. I’m usually a fan of mint teas and I like rose and fennel as well, but this one had such a strong “soapy” flavour that I didn’t finish my cup (and I did give it two tries in case I was missing something the first time)!

This is a lovely happy herbal blend which is welcome anytime and fabulous for sharing. Though it seems floral and springy, it’s aniseed flavour makes it perfect for fall as well. I encourage you to serve this in a delicate cup and enjoy the aroma as much as the taste.

I’m not sure where to find it in Canada, but if anybody knows I’d be happy to hear it.

The cinnamon scent fills the room, but when drinking I mainly taste the vanilla & licorice. A combo that I like..

This is a really nice Chai, love the sweet vanilla taste.

I am not the biggest Pukka-fan at the moment… Maybe I lost the gift of tasting.
Why? Because ALL their (Pukkas) tea taste like bitter liqourice or hibiscus. I loved this tea half a year ago, but now It’s like:

“Meeeeeeeeeh.”

Let me explain. The tea smell like herbs, with a fresh and “bitter” note. When the bag is steeped the bag leeks out a red color, that slowly colors the tea red brown. Taking a sip reveal a sweet bitter tea with a spicy end. Is this minty? I don’t know. Or rather – I can’t taste the “mint.” It taste more liqouricelike than minty if you ask me.
Is there something wrong with me? Did a scorching warm tea a month ago burn of some of my tongue? It’s a mystery.

… But I’ll give it a good rate. In the beginning, this was one of my faves from this company. I think the first impression is the one that count when it some to tea. Everyone changes slowly, but the taste of tea dosn’t.

This is my last bag of this tea.
Pukka uses mint in many of their teas, but this seems to be a “all mint” (and nothing else) tea. It’s fine, but I like “Refresh” better. The Refresh had the minty flavor, but also had a bitter flavor from liquorice.

I gave into the marketing for this tea and thought it would a be a great 9:30am tea.

That’s about the time where: I’ve cleared my emails, checked the previous days activity, somehow managed to say morning to my colleagues whilst still being asleep and caught up on news/gossip. These activities also don’t tax the mind so much, so I’m still a bit tired and need a bit of a jolt. Instead of taking swig of oxygen form the cylinders near my office (which If i got caught would get me fired) or injecting my self with some FDG (look it up, this would also get me fired) I decided to give this tea a shot.

The problem with this tea is the flavor combination. The marketing is right, it will give you a jolt but only because the combination of flavors is so repulsive. The lemon grass and ginger is all I can taste. Giving you a hot bitter taste every sip. As it loses temperature, the ginger loses all its flavor and your left with lukewarm lemongrass. Which is just bitter. I don’t know what fruit they are talking about on the box, but it doesn’t matter because the other two flavors completely overwhelm it, if it is even there.

If like me you need that little bit of a lift at work, I would suggest a white tea of some sort with some flavor, Clipper do some fantastic ones. Or you can get into a fight at work but this would probably get you fired.

Like Rijje, I also bought this tea because of the beautiful box. I wish I had the read the small print though because it did result going back to my flat and one of my flatmates saying

“eeer Mo, this tea is for women who need their hormones balancing.”

Well, there wasn’t much I could do expect laugh at myself.

This shouldn’t distract however that is quite a pleasant tea. It does taste sweet but has a hint of bitterness from making it overpowering. The colour is something you get used too and it smells fantastic.

Even if it’s not your time of the month or if like me you can incapable of having time of the months, I suggest you give this tea a shot if your after something a little different.

I really like this tea. A light, easy drinking tea with nice flavours and a delicately aniseedy aftertaste.

Yes I am vain…
to the point that the reason I bougth my first tea was a beautifull teabox.
To the point I collect Kusmi tea, even though I am not so fond of their tea.

This is one of my vain buyings. Pukka – have you seen the boxes? I ADORE.
Anyway, It taste good enough. The tea is pink colored? Like the juice from melon.
It smell sweet and bitter. The taste is hard to descibe. I can taste the chamomile, but the taste is topped with a bitternes from the other ingredients. A very odd tea indeed, I can’t compare it with other teas.

sigh not the tea I was craving for, but it’s decent.

Having a little trouble drinking this tea, but not because of the taste.
One of the cats are practically following the mug around the table.
Must be something like catgrass in the tea?

The tea has a nice yellow color. Oh… wait a moment… the other cat is coming now.
Rubbing herself all over the teabag – Thank you sweetheart, I wanted to reuse that one!

Anyway, my first impression of the tea is a strong smell of lavender.
The second impression was: …Hmm it taste like lavender too. It has a faint taste of liquorice, but it’s very very faint.

It’s not bad, but I am not a lavender fan.
So I guess it’s a OK from me.

It’s bitter and sweet at the same time – like dark chocolat.

Not nearly as much ginger as I had hoped for. Smells good, but the taste is a bit bland, even after the recommended steep time and then some. Quite expensive here in Sweden.

Lots of flavour if a little overpowering at times. Good for the stomach/digestion I’m told.

A pretty exciting concept. The taste is balanced with lots of cinnamon and a secondary chai tone. I’ve never been a fan of either which makes for a mediocre rating, but people who like this stuff probably won’t be dissapointed.
