I was actually surprised to find this tea on Steepster already considering Queen Mary is a local teahouse but here it is! I made a giant pot of this today with way less than it said to (2-4 teaspoons per 8oz? jeez) and less time than it said (5 minutes as opposed to 7-10) and it came out delicious.
The dry smell is definitely orange creamsicle, very strongly. Since I like my creamsicles sweet, I added milk and sugar and it came out very creamy and a very delicious dessert tea. I’m glad I like it, rooibos can be hit or miss with me. I need more non-caffeinated teas though, since I’m newly caffeine sensitive and resenting it.

This blend is so cute with the little candy hearts! I’m not quite sure what is in it, but I can see bits of nuts (perhaps pecans?) and other things. I quite like this – it’s sweet and nutty, and the flavourings are supported well by the rooibos base.
But…as I get further down the cup, and it starts to cool, the nutty flavour becomes overbearing and I start to get funny feeling in the back of my throat. As it cools down even more, it becomes very, very sickly sweet.
Hmm. I liked this tea at the beginning of the cup, but it turned out too sickly for me.
Thanks, QueenofTarts for sending this my way! I enjoy this tea…to a point. The beginning of the sip is amazing, but the end just…ruins it for me. It weirds me out. I don’t think it’s something I’d search out once it’s gone, but it’ll be no hardship to finish what I have! Thanks again!

Backlog: I had this last night as I was going to bed. I don’t have many rooibos blends, so this was a welcome addition to my collection! Dry, it had a lovely, creamy scent and steeped, more of the vanilla came through. The vanilla tastes natural and it definitely is quite creamy. Also, the rooibos base doesn’t overpower the flavour, but supports it instead. A very sweet tea. Finally, I have found a rooibos that satisfies my sweet tooth!
