Finally posting all those queued tasting notes from the GCTTB #6

a) I steeped this for 5 minutes (2-5 minutes recommended on the package) but used water that was fairly cool (80 *C). It was extremely bitter and overpowering, I should have gone for 2 minutes.

b) It tastes like stale turmeric and cardboard. I really wanted to like this, because it is such a unique tea, but I could only get in two sips. The two friends I was with (big tea drinkers) thought it was disgusting also. I may actually have found the worst tea of all time. Worse than grocery store bagged green tea mixed with stevia and hibiscus even. Worse than fish flavoured pu’erh. It was really bad. I can’t say I’d recommend even trying it.

Could be? I’m not sure. It could just be that I’m too sensitive to bitterness.
