This smells decadent! Nice creamy caramel flavour! A really nice Rooibos without any artificial aftertaste:p the tea is a nice after dinner treat. I am really trying to find more non caffeinated teas that will not affect my already weird sleeping/waking cycles. I think this may be a flavour that has the potential to become a permanent item in my cupboard.
This was a tea flavour that was recommended to me by the owner of Tea Time. I got a sample of this from him when I went into the shop because I told him I was looking for different rooibos teas. I wasn’t sure if I would like it because I am not a fan of marzipan…but I like almond. I brewed the sample at home…he gave me a generous amount so all four of us in the family got to have a cup. The boys were asking for more the next day! I have had it a few times now and amazingly it smells exactly like marzipan! I definitely taste the almond in it. This one is going to be a keeper in our house!
Preparation
I have been trying a bunch of different Rooibos’ in a quest to get more decaf teas to choose from. I’ve had this quite a few times now and I love the flavour and scent. It comes off as a floral pear flavour. Rooibos hasn’t been my favourite type of tea but with my new Libre tea mug I have been drinking a lot of this lately. Will have to try it iced once the weather gets hotter!
Wow one of my must have teas in my cupboard since before steepster and I haven’t written anything on it.
This earl grey cream is very well balanced, perfect amount of bergamot and “cream.” I have tried the organic version as well and have found the flavours of the tea to be more muted and definitely less enjoyable (too weak for me)?!? Weird! So the last time I stocked up, I bought the non organic version again. I definitely do want to minimize my consumption of pesticide laden stuff as much as possible but I didn’t enjoy the organic version as much plus it was more expensive for meh taste :(
Anyways I usually get a big 250g bag of this and often Tea Time will open a fresh bag (if their current bag is running lowish) to measure out my amount to take home ..so nice of them and I get fresher tea!
Preparation
Made a pot of this orange cinnamon decaf black so that I can add honey and almond milk to it for my throat. I probably added too much honey in it (I usually only add a bit of milk) cause the honey is overpowering the tea or it could be that I can’t taste things as well due to the cold/cough. Nevertheless great to have around!
On the first steep, this imported tea is delicate without lacking in any flavour; it is very earthy and has a delicious aroma in the pot. As it sits it gets earthier, and can tend towards a bitterness that is still pleasant.
The leaves must have the proper room to expand, or the flavour is not as strong and is grassier than otherwise. I would suggest brewing this tea just in the bottom of the pot, instead of in a tea ball or a nest.
Preparation
Practically overflowing with vitamins and antioxidants, this is my favourite tea for when I feel a cold coming on. It’s particularly with a slice of lemon to give it an extra kick.
Preparation
It took me a while to warm up to this tea and it’s heavy floral notes, but this blend is still superior to others that I’ve tried. Doesn’t hold up to the original Earl Grey, but still a fine tea to have with cookies on a rainy afternoon.
Preparation
The best night time tea I’ve ever had. I’m not usually into ginger but this has just the right amount — you know it’s there, but it’s not overpowering. This tea is oddly soothing and has an amazing licorice after taste. Currently trying to make it a ritual to have a cup or two before bed; it’s so comforting and makes me want to fall right asleep.
